Dear fellow students,
My name is Li Hua. It is a great honor to be here to share our experience.
During the planning stages, with the theme “Save Food, Save the World”, our group focused
on the background knowledge of World Food Day. After dividing our task, we first collected a lot
of information about world hunger and food waste. Then, we designed the layout and chose some
impressive pictures. Finally, we added some eye-catching slogans to call on everyone to cherish
food.
It is teamwork that helped us take the first place. Through this activity, we not only learned
how to work together but also realized the importance of saving food. Let’s all take action to make
the world a better place.
Thank you!
读后续写
Paragraph 1: Mia’s heart sank. She stared at the broken shells on the floor, her breath
caught in her throat. “You knew this was special!” She picked up the pieces, her voice
shaking. “Get out!” Leo stepped back quickly. “I didn’t mean to...” he whispered, his
voice shaking. “You never mean to!” she screamed. Leo’s face turned pale, and he quickly
bent down to pick up the pieces. Mia turned away, unable to speak. That night, she lay
in bed staring at the ceiling, remembering Grandma’s warm hands and gentle voice:
“Patience!” She clutched her pillow, trying to forget the broken necklace.
Paragraph 2: The next morning, Mia was surprised to find a box on her desk. On top was a
note, written in shaky letters: “I’m sorry, Mia. I tried to fix it.” Inside, she saw the broken
shells carefully glued back together, some tied with string, some placed in the shape of a
heart. At the center was a new shell—small, but shining—clearly one Leo had found
himself. Mia smiled through tears. It wasn’t perfect, but it was filled with love. Shepicked up the necklace and gently placed it around her neck, whispering, “Thank you,
Leo.”
听力原文
(Text 1)
M: The red car with two doors is nice. And I like the color.
W: Don’t forget we have three kids.
M: That’s true. I guess we need the white one with four doors.
(Text 2)
W:Pacific Travel Company, Jane speaking. How can I help you?
M:Hello, it’s Stuart Gould here. I’ve booked a two-day group tour with your company and I need
to make some changes to the original booking.
(Text 3)
W: You don’t look very well. Is there anything I can do?
M: No thanks, maybe I’ll go home early today.
W: Yes, I think you should. But don’t forget to tell our manager first.
(Text 4)
W:We’re having the meeting on Monday. That’s the day after tomorrow. Can you give me the
report by Sunday?
M:OK. I’ll try to finish it as soon as possible.
(Text 5)
M:I’m worried about the exam in chemistry.
W:Me, too. Mrs. Smith always sets a hard paper, doesn’t she?
M:You’re right, and I failed last time.
(Text 6)
W:How about eating out tonight for a change?
M:It’s an idea, I suppose. Where shall we go?
W:There’s a new Italian place which has just opened.
M:That might be worth a try and we can take the bus.
W:Let’s walk there. It’s not far.
M:OK.
W:And we could invite Amelia and Rob, too.
M:But it’s too far for them. They’d need to drive there. Besides, Rob has a flight to London
tonight.
(Text 7)
M:Linda! I was looking for you. I wanted to ask you what you are planning to do this weekend.
W:What’s up, Doug? I was supposed to watch a concert with my sister, but she canceled our
appointment at the last minute. Now I have no plans.
M:We are planning to go climbing in the Azusa Mountains on Saturday. You really must join us.
W:That sounds great, but I haven’t climbed for a while. I’ll get tired easily.M:All you have to do is walk and enjoy the scenery of the mountains along the way. The
mountain is not that tall. There’s no way you can’t do it. Plus, we are going to have a delicious
picnic at the top of the mountain.
W:OK. I certainly love picnics. I’m starting to get excited about climbing now! I’d better get a
good pair of shoes.
(Text 8)
M: Hey, what about these ties? Which do you prefer, the green one or the black one?
W: I prefer the black one but I think you’ll take the red tie I saw in Camden Market. The color
suits your jacket perfectly.
M: Yeah.
W: What do you think of this dress?
M: It would look really good with high heels.
W: High heels? I don’t like high heels much. I find them really uncomfortable.
M: I guess it would look good with the shoes you’re wearing. Are you getting the dress?
W: I’m not sure … I’d like to look in the market first before I decide whether to buy it or not.
M: I’d rather go for a coffee than look at more clothes now.
(Text 9)
W: What are you reading?
M: An article about this guy … Frane … Selak. They’ve called him the unluckiest man in the
world. It looks like he’s had an unbelievable life.
W: Unbelievable? How?
M: Well … It started in the 1960s. He says he was on a train that came off the tracks and crashed
into a river — he survived but the other 17 people died!
W: Lucky.
M: Frane did break his arm, though. Anyway, the next year he was flying on a small plane, which
also crashed. Just as it was about to crash, one of the doors opened — the article says it had a
fault — and he was sucked out. He escaped unhurt but nobody on the plane survived.
W: That’s unbelievable!
M: I know. Then a few years later, Frane was in a bus accident. There was heavy rain and the bus
lost control on the wet road and crashed into a river. He survived, although 20 people drowned.
Then Frane was in a car that caught fire while he was driving it on the motorway. He managed
to get out with seconds to spare before the fuel tank exploded.
W: I don’t know whether he’s unlucky or extremely lucky, but I don’t think I ever want to travel
with this guy.
(Text 10)
W: About two years ago I went with my class on our first school trip — five days in Paris! There
were about thirty of us and four teachers. We all went in one big coach from our school in
London. The teachers told us to be at school at four thirty in the morning. Everyone was there
on time, but the coach didn’t arrive until five o’clock and we didn’t leave until five thirty! We
were very cold and tired.
Anyway, the coach was very comfortable and we watched a DVD and listened to some musicon the journey. We had some sandwiches and drinks with us, so we went straight to Paris
without stopping. The hotel was very old, but our room was nice and the bed was great! I
shared the room with three other girls.
When we went shopping I tried to practice my French a few times but sometimes I didn’t know
the right words and spoke in English instead! The shops were great — I bought lots of
presents, such as a dress for my mother, a bag for my dad and a T-shirt for my little sister!
I think what I enjoyed most was the boat trip. I took lots of photos of my friends and the
wonderful art galleries. I was sad to leave Paris. I had a lovely time there.
