1、和……一起；伴随
表示在某人/某物身边、陪同或同时存在。
She lives with her parents. 她和父母住在一起。
a nice steak with a bottle of red wine 一份牛排配一瓶红酒
常与along with, together with连用，构成伴随结构。
Along with Tom, she went to the party.
2、有；带有；具有
表示携带、拥有某种特征、附属物或疾病。
a girl with red hair 一个红发女孩
a jacket with a hood 带兜帽的夹克
They’re both in bed with flu. 他俩患流感卧床。
a man with a suitcase 提行李箱的男人
3、用；以（工具、材料、方式）
（1）工具/手段：用某种具体工具，注意与by的区别——with后接具体工具并加冠词/限定词，by后通常接抽象方式或交通工具且无冠词。
Cut it with a knife. 用小刀切开。
write with a pen 用钢笔写
by hand 用手（无冠词）
（2）材料/填充/覆盖：表示用某物填充、覆盖。
The bag was stuffed with dirty clothes. 包里塞满脏衣服。
Sprinkle the dish with salt. 在菜上撒盐。
（3）行为方式：以某种态度、情态或伴随状况。
He behaved with great dignity. 他举止威严。
with a smile / with pleasure / with ease 带着微笑/乐意地/轻松地
She sleeps with the window open. 她开着窗睡觉。
Don’t stand with your hands in your pockets. 别把手插在口袋里站着。
4、因为；由于（情感、反应）
表示由某种情绪或外部刺激引起的反应。
She blushed with embarrassment. 她尴尬得脸红。
His fingers were numb with cold. 他手指冻僵了。
shake with fear / cry with joy / red with anger 因害怕发抖/高兴得哭/气得通红
5、随着；与……同时（因果关系或方向）
Skill comes with practice. 熟能生巧。
The shadows lengthened with the approach of sunset. 随着日落，影子拉长。
Marine mammals swim with the current. 海洋哺乳动物顺水而游。
6、关于；对于；在……方面
常与形容词或名词连用，表示涉及对象或态度。
Be careful with the glasses. 小心玻璃杯。
Are you pleased with the result? 你满意这个结果吗？
Don’t be angry with her. 别生她的气。
With these students, pronunciation is the problem. 对这些学生，发音是问题。
7、与……对立/对比/一致
fight/argue with sb 与某人打架/争吵
at war with a neighbouring country 与邻国交战
agree with sb 同意某人
compare ... with ... 与……相比
He says skiing is fun enough but it can’t compare with snowboarding. [=he says skiing is fun but snowboarding is better]
他说双板滑雪很有趣，但还是比不上单板滑雪。
8、包括；加上
The meal with wine came to $20 each. 含酒水的饭每人20美元。
With all the lesson preparation I do, I work 12 hours a day. 加上备课，我一天工作12小时。
9、由……持有/负责；受雇于
The keys are with reception. 钥匙在前台。
Leave it with me. 这事交给我。
She acted with a touring company. 她在一个巡回剧团演戏。
I bank with HSBC. 我的钱存在汇丰银行。
10、表示分离（多与动词搭配）
part with this ring 摘掉这枚戒指
dispense with the formalities 免去客套
11、尽管；虽然

（1）be with sb 明白/支持某人
Are you with me? 你明白我说的吗？
We’re all with you on this. 这事我们都支持你。
（2）be with it ①时髦 ②神志清醒
Don’t you have anything more with it to wear? 难道你没有更时髦一点儿的衣服穿？
You don’t seem very with it today. 你今天好像心不在焉。
（3）with that 紧接着，随即
He muttered an apology, and with that he left. 他嘟囔了一句道歉，然后就走了。
