Global Round
UISG is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the students who represented our school at the 2026 World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Shanghai, joining peers from China, Singapore, the Philippines, Canada, the United States, Zambia, Kenya, the UK, and many other countries for a week of academic challenge, collaboration, creativity, and cultural exchange.
All students competed across a wide range of disciplines—including science, history, literature, art, music, and current affairs—through four core events: the individual Scholar’s Challenge (a fiendishly difficult multiple-choice test), Collaborative Writing, Team Debate, and the team quiz, Scholar’s Bowl.
Our 12 Junior Division students achieved an impressive 25 Gold and 26 Silver Medals, along with one team trophy. Their success reflects not only their breadth of knowledge, but also their ability to collaborate, communicate, think critically, and approach unfamiliar challenges with confidence. One of our junior teams qualified for this year’s Tournament of Champions.
WSC Global Round
Our 7 Senior Division students also delivered an exceptional performance, earning 49 medals and 2 trophies. Most notably, all seven Senior Division students qualified to advance to the Tournament of Champions at Yale University in November.
The Tournament of Champions at Yale University is the final and culminating event of the 2026 World Scholar’s Cup season, bringing together qualifying scholars from Global Rounds around the world.
We congratulate all 19 UISG students on their achievements—each of whom came back a little heavier with their well-earned medals—and look forward to supporting our qualifiers at the Tournament of Champions. As we celebrate this year’s scholars, we look forward to inspiring the next cohort of UISG students to take on the challenge in 2027, with preparations beginning later this fall.

世界学者杯
上海全球轮
UISG倍感自豪地祝贺我校学生在2026年世界学者杯上海全球轮赛中取得的卓越成绩。此次赛事中，我校学子与来自中国、新加坡、菲律宾、加拿大、美国、赞比亚、肯尼亚、英国等众多国家的同龄人同台竞技，共同度过了为期一周的学术挑战、团队协作、创意激发与文化交流之旅。
所有学生参加了涵盖科学、历史、文学、艺术、音乐及时事等多个学科领域的角逐，竞赛通过四项核心环节展开：个人学者挑战（极具难度的多项选择题）、协同写作、团队辩论以及团队知识竞答——学者碗。
我校初中组（Junior Division）共12名学生，凭借出色表现斩获25枚金牌、26枚银牌，并摘得一座团队奖杯。这一成绩不仅彰显了他们广博的知识储备，更体现了卓越的协作能力、沟通表达能力、批判性思维能力，以及从容应对陌生挑战的自信。其中一支初中组队伍成功晋级本年度冠军锦标赛。
世界学者杯上海全球轮
高中组（Senior Division）共7名学生同样表现非凡，共收获49枚奖牌及2座奖杯。尤为令人瞩目的是，全部7名高中组学生均成功获得晋级资格，将参加于11月在耶鲁大学举行的冠军锦标赛。
耶鲁大学冠军锦标赛是2026年世界学者杯赛季的终极巅峰盛事，届时将汇聚来自全球各轮晋级赛的优秀学者。
我们向全部19名UISG学子致以热烈祝贺——每一位都载誉而归，行囊中多了一份沉甸甸的奖牌荣光。我们也期待继续为晋级选手提供支持，助力他们在冠军锦标赛中再创佳绩。在庆贺本届学者成就的同时，我们更期待激励下一批UISG学子迎接2027年的挑战，相关筹备工作将于今年秋季晚些时候正式启动。
