I bet about fifty percent of the energy you need every day comes from vegetables or animals that originated in this area.M: Why have these texts taken so long to come to light?W: These ancient texts have been known since the 1920s but were thought to be medical texts. In the 1940s, Mary Hussey, an American scholar, suggested that they might be about food. He had heard about the texts, so he went to Yale University, and found out that they were indeed about food.

If any chemical container is knocked over, don't panic. Tell me immediately and I'll handle the cleanup. Also, keep your hair tied back and avoid wearing loose clothes. We will work in pairs. One person will handle the tools while the other records the data. Switch roles after every three trials to ensure everyone gets practice. Remember: the goal is accurate data, not speed. But some places will feel the changes sooner than others.The city I live in is very flat and close to the waterline. And rising sea levels are already creating floods. So, I decided to do something to make it impossible to ignore. I started an art project called Underwater Homeowners Association and painted numbers onto thousands of large signs. Each number showed how high someone’s house was above sea level. A one would mean that if the sea level rose one foot, the building would flood. I gave the signs to homeowners who put them in their yards. Kids painted more signs and put them near their schools and along busy roads. The project has already had a real-world effect. The people who put the signs in their yards created a real homeowners association to address climate change in their communities.

Years ago, I was given the task of organizing a conference in the south of England. I chose a five-star hotel owned by Rochester as the venue. Susan, the receptionist, helped me arrange everything perfectly. Once when we were chatting, I asked Susan if she'd ever met Mr. Rochester. She said yes. Shortly after Mr. Rochester bought the hotel, he made an appointment to see the hotel manager. When he arrived, the first person he met was Susan, who was cleaning the carpet. It's time-consuming, but it shows the importance he places on human relationships. I think that's one of the secrets of his success.

It was June 1986 when I came to Moscow to participate in open Tchaikovsky competition at the age of 10 from Chelyabinsk. This was actually the turning point of my life. Then I attended a world music festival in Berlin. And it was interesting to say that a kid made his breakthrough already at the age of 10. And that was me. Now as a judge of the competition, I can see clearly the huge challenges facing the musicians in the competition. Where else can you see young players playing within ten days classical works and Russian traditional music before coming to the final stage? As a musician, it’s important to give maximum attention and time to your own reflections of your own feelings.
