主题:AI and My life
Dear teachers and classmates,
Today, I’m honored to give a speech themed AI and My life. AI has become an important part
of my senior high school life, greatly improving efficiency and convenience.
In my studies, not only do AI apps help me solve complex math problems and offer instant
feedback on oral English practice but they also generate personalized study plans to boost my
learning efficiency. Besides, in my daily life, AI devices deliver real-time weather and travel
suggestions via voice commands. For entertainment, they recommend books and videos that match
my interest, which helps me relieve heavy academic pressure.
As a student, I benefit greatly from AI, which reshapes my learning and makes my life easier.
Thank you for your attention!
主题:A Great Person Who Inspires Me
Dear teachers and classmates,
Today, I’m honored to deliver a speech themed “A Great Person Who Inspires Me”. To
me, that person is Tu Youyou, a committed and patient scientist.
With the objective of fighting malaria, she led a team to analyse ancient medical texts and
evaluate countless plants for their medical properties. Despite repeated failures, she refused to
acknowledge defeat. Finally, she discovered artemisinin, a crucial new treatment for malaria,
which saved millions of lives. Undoubtedly, in the face of those difficulties and failures, if she had
given up, artemisinin wouldn’t have been discovered.
Her perseverance inspires me deeply: Whatever difficulty lies ahead, I will never quit.
Let’s learn from her dedication, pursue our dreams, and contribute to society.

Right before the morning math class ended, Miss Brown gave the students a challenging math
problem.
As soon as class was over, Jack started working on this difficult problem right away. He read
the problem carefully, drew pictures to help, and wrote down his calculations. He tried every way
he could think of, and his pen moved quickly on the paper, but he still couldn’t solve it. He felt
totally stuck and couldn’t help frowning. Noticing Jack’s confused look, his classmates all gathered
around him. They offered to help and thought of all possible ideas that might work. Time ticking by,
they finally found the key part to solve the problem. After his classmates left the classroom, Jack
stayed behind to write down the clear steps of working out the math problem. A big smile appeared
on his face.
The next day, Jack volunteered to give a great presentation about his solution. Miss Brown
clapped, and the other students cheered for him. It was through this experience that Jack learned:
when we face difficulties, working together and sharing ideas makes us stronger.

录音稿
Text 1
M: We’ve spent too much time at home over the past few weekends.
W: I know — it is too cold to play in the park or street. But there’s an indoor pool in the sports
center. Want to go?
M: Sure. I’ll grab my suit now! (1)
Text 2
W: Thanks, sweetheart. I appreciate you helping to finish some of the household duties.
M: Of course, Mom. While you’re recovering from your injury, I’ll take care of all the cooking and
cleaning around the house.
W: You’re the best. You’ve just done a wonderful job making the house organized and tidy. (2)
Text 3
W: It was so nice to catch up with you today, Matt. I wish we could have lunch like this every
week!
M: Likewise. Unfortunately, I’ll have my busiest season at work for next week. We can meet again
after that.
W: Sure. Let’s meet after your busy season, then! (3)
Text 4
W: Hi, Ben. Sorry to call so last minute. But I won’t make it to work today.M: That’s all right. I’ll cover for you at our meetings today. Are you feeling unwell?
W: I’m fine. But my flight arrives later than I thought, and driving to the office will take too long.
(4)
Text 5
W: I can’t believe the tireless work that went into this event. It’s simply incredible!
M: I totally agree. The decorations, clothing design, and food preparation are above and beyond
all expectations. ①They’ve worked hard for us to enjoy and appreciate this party. (5)
Text 6
M: When you judge others, you first judge yourself. So, it’s essential to accept both yourself and
others.
W: Great thought, Dad. Where did you learn that?
M: It was a life lesson I learned as a young boy. I used to have arguments with friends in school,
just like you’re having now.
W: That sounds like my situation now. We’re always trying to prove we’re better. This prevents us
from supporting each other.
M: Having real power requires supporting the value and success of yourself and others.
W: True. I owe my friend an apology — I must call her now. (7)
M: Great idea, dear. I’ll help your mother with dinner. Please tell us when you’re finished.
Text 7
M: Gina, I wanted to discuss your recent assignment.
W: Really? I hope it was okay.
M: It was much more than okay. The poem you submitted was truly superb, and with your approval,
I’d like to submit it to our school’s writing competition. Only one of your classmates has received
this opportunity.
W: I’d be so proud to share my work with others. I would never have started writing if it weren’t for
your class.
M: I know, Gina. I can see you used the style of the famous American poet Emily Dickinson. All
artists get inspiration from others.
W: Really? Who are you inspired by?
M: My favorite poet is Shakespeare, and I love reading poems about love, history, and nature. But
for writing, I mainly enjoy sharing personal stories. (9)
Text 8
M: Good afternoon, Nora. Have you read any recent news reports on electric vehicles and green
energy?
W: Not really. I don’t have time to read articles or watch programs. Is this local news or something
happening internationally?
M: Globally. So, how do you normally catch up on recent events happening worldwide? (10)
W: Through conversations like this! I’m lucky to have so many well-informed friends. (10)
M: I see — I’m glad to help. I don’t have time to watch the morning or evening news either.
Instead, I get news report notifications(通知) on my phone. Then, I get informed whenever exciting
reports are released. (11)W: Oh, cool. Plus, you can read them at your desk.
M: Exactly! While I’m waiting at my desk for my tasks to come, I read these articles. It’s the best
way to continue learning all day.
W: Please, show me this news app. (11) And should I read more local or global news stories?
M: I think staying updated on international news is crucial. Even if you don’t love world geography
or politics, it’s essential to understand what’s happening in our world! (12)
Text 9
M: Hey there! I didn’t expect to see you in the dormitories now. (13)
W: Why not?
M: ②I thought you left for your ski trip. (14)
W: Oh, I changed my plan. I’ve got a fantastic new idea for our Christmas break. (14)
M: Cool. But since we’re international students, I’m not familiar with the surroundings. I figured
I’d just stick around campus and explore this city.
W: Well, hear me out. How about we get a Eurail pass? It’s an unlimited pass you can get for train
travel around Europe. Sounds amazing, right?
M: I love the idea. And I don’t have any work, study, or family plans. But I’m afraid I don’t have
much money to support the whole trip to Europe at the moment. (15)
W: Don’t worry. Eurail is a budget-friendly way to explore Europe. We can get on a train to Milan,
Italy. Then, we’ll visit Paris, France, and stay in at least three more countries!
M: I’ve been on trains around Europe before, but traveling with friends would be especially
exciting. I’ve only had trips with my family before. (16)
W: Me too. I’m looking forward to it. (16) ③We’ll start a trip to Europe — just us, exploring
cultures and making unforgettable memories. What do you say?
M: Wonderful! Let’s make this a Christmas break to remember!
Text10
Good evening to the citizens of this nation. Each New Year’s Eve, I stand before you to
address the topics that concern our country. (17) Today, I first want to discuss our aging population
and climate change. And lastly, I’ll discuss this year’s remarkable achievements both within our
country and worldwide. (18)
In many countries, including ours, there are a growing number of senior citizens compared to
the younger generation. This shift is because, in the past, we needed a larger population to build
farms, factories, and cities. Like many of you, my family’s older generations worked in agriculture
and food production. (19) However, as our economy becomes more advanced and our quality of life
improves, people tend to have fewer children.
So, it’s our duty as a nation to support our elderly citizens who have made great contributions
to the growth of our country. They worked hard, raised families, and helped build the foundation of
our successful society.
Our aging society represents our progress, but it also brings challenges. Last year, we created
programs for quality health care. ④And now, we’ll begin⌒our programs for creating community
buildings. (20) There, we’ll have volunteer programs where young people can help and support
seniors. And together, we will build a better future for every generation, young and old.
