Part 4
A giraffe goes into a café and asks for a coffee. The girl who is serving fetches the coffee and
leaves the bill on the table. The giraffe finishes the coffee and looks at the bill – very expensive,
at four pounds seventy-five.
He gives the girl a fiver to cover the bill and turns to leave. The girl says, “You know, it’s
strange, but I’ve never seen a giraffe in here before.”
“That’s not so strange,” says the giraffe, “if you charge nearly five pounds for a coffee!”
