Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Li Hua, a student in No. 1 middle school. From the advertisement I know a English
guide is wanted in summer. So I’m writing the letter to introduce myself.
I’m eighteen, and a local as well. Thus, I have a good knowledge of local customs and
cultures. In addition, I’m good at communicating with others in English and have taken part in
many national English contests, which also proved my ability. Now I would like to put what I
have learned into practice. Moreover, I am very interested in English, so I firmly believe that I am
quite suitable for the post. I’d appreciate it if you would give me the chance to work as a guide
