The cultural tourism mini series Ni Hao, Tie Men Guan has premiered across major online platforms on December 31, inviting audiences to welcome the New Year with a journey through time and history at one of China’s legendary frontier passes. The story begins with Zhang Qian, the Han Dynasty envoy who once traveled through Tiemenguan on his mission to the Western Regions, accidentally crossing into the year 2025. Through the collision of ancient and modern perspectives, the series presents the more than 70 years of development and achievements of Tiemenguan City (Second Division), along with its magnificent landscapes, distinctive cultural tourism resources, and rich local customs.
Embracing the “mini series + cultural tourism” model, the production draws on Tiemenguan’s identity as “the final gateway of the ancient Silk Road.” Through Zhang Qian’s quest for the imperial credential, the story connects multiple scenic locations, including the Tata Secret Realm and Puchang Ancient City. Filmed entirely on location, the series vividly showcases the region’s natural scenery, ethnic customs, and local cuisine, allowing viewers to discover Tiemenguan’s past and present while enjoying the unfolding story.

On December 29, the launch event for the “Filming Mini Series in Sansheng” debut program and the opening of the Hongsha Mini Series Studio were held in Jinjiang District, Chengdu. As a professional mini series production base deeply integrated with the city’s park-style landscapes, the Hongsha Mini Series Studio is located in the core area of Sansheng Flower Town, Jinjiang District, Chengdu, covering an area of 2.28 square kilometers.
The studio has innovatively established a “1+1+1+N” operation system. Through the linkage of an offline production coordination center, an offline production management center, an online digital platform, and diverse styles of shooting sites, it provides one-stop, full-industry-chain services for the mini series production. Currently, the studio has established over 300 real-scene shooting sites with diverse film and television styles.
The launch ceremony for the mini series San Si Wu Liu Mei You Qi (Three Four Five Six, No Seven) was also held during the event, demonstrating the Hongsha Mini Series Studio’s practical and efficient approach of “launching and operating simultaneously.” During the event, a promotional video titled Filming Mini Series in Sansheng showcased the rich and diverse film and television scene resources of Sansheng Flower Town in Jinjiang District, Chengdu.
During the thematic promotion session, representatives from the studio’s operating team, production partners, copyright trading platforms, and talent incubation agencies shared insights on topics including the studio’s operational model, one-stop production services, mini series copyright transactions, and actor training and development programs.
In the future, the Hongsha Mini Series Studio will continue to deepen the integrated “Park City + Mini Series Industry” development model. Empowered by emerging technologies like AIGC, it will optimize its online and offline service systems, gather high-quality resources across the industry chain, and steadily develop into a highland for mini series industry and a hub for talent aggregation in southwest China. These efforts aim to inject sustained momentum into Chengdu’s goal of building itself into a world-renowned cultural city and deepening the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions.

Recently, the 2026 “AI+ Mini Series Sales Conversion Competition” and the launch ceremony of the Organizing Committee of the “Chinese Family Culture Mini Series National Competition” were held at Yingchuang Park in Foshan. This event revolves around the innovative model of “AI Agent + Mini Series + E-commerce GMV,” focusing on the deep integration of content creation and commercial conversion. It collaborates with academic institutions and enterprises to explore a new industry model for the AI era characterized by “everyone can create content, and content can be directly monetized.”
On the day of the event, at the roadshow center of Yingchuang Park, the organizers systematically released the overall competition plan, the “AI Agent School-Enterprise 2+1 Cooperation Program,” and the Guangdong pilot plan for the “Chinese Family Culture Mini Series National Competition.” Multiple project signing ceremonies were also held on site.
The organizing committee for the “Chinese Family Culture Mini Series National Competition” was officially established at the event, with Foshan designated to undertake the dual role of serving as a provincial pilot site in Guangdong and national model incubator. The committee will promote the implementation of a series of projects including “Family Culture Oral History Mini Series,” “Community-based Family Culture Co-creation Workshops,” “On-Campus Family Culture Mini Series Studios,” and “Park-based Family Culture Mini Series Creation and Research Centers.” Participants noted that the launch marks a new starting point to jointly promote the deep integration of AI agents, mini series content production, and e-commerce conversion across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The program aims to build a national benchmark for the “Family Culture Mini Series + AI Sales Conversion,” injecting new momentum and practical models for digital economic development and high-quality youth employment.

Building a Talent Development Ecosystem for the Mini Series Industry: Qiantang District Creates a New Training Model
At the event, the Communication University of Zhejiang Student Joint Training Practice Base was officially inaugurated. At the same time, the annual plan for the China Mini Series Creative Village Mini Series production workshop, covering the entire industry chain, including screenwriting, filming, and operation, was released. The training program includes 12 sessions throughout the year, with the first session aiming to train 30 to 50 professionals, incubate more than five original scripts, and promote several projects for actual filming. Additionally, at the event site, the workshop’s first practical project—the 48-hour Extreme Creation Short Film Workshop—was immediately launched. Sixteen postgraduate student teams from Communication University of Zhejiang will be stationed in Hezhuang Sub-District, focusing on high-pressure creation around winter aesthetics and Qiantang regional culture. The event also featured a special session for script creation tips and a winter vacation internship recruitment fair.

本届展播季含短视频和微短剧两个单元,176家机构及个人推送短视频217部、微短剧24部共717集作品参赛,其中106部作品分获“海融鳌头”“海融拔萃”和“海融勇进”奖。西藏未及文化传媒公司选送的《去桃花盛开的地方》荣获本届展播季微短剧“海融鳌头”奖。本次云展览和展播季参展参赛作品内容丰富、覆盖面广,既有对海峡两岸风土民情、共同历史记忆的生动展示,又有对科技成果、智慧城市、民生项目的客观宣介。活动通过 50 余家平台设立的 100 多个专区展映,受众超 500 万人次,20 家平台获“优秀传播奖”,有效促进了两岸暨港澳地区的文化交流与融合。
