The elephant is big and strong. It has a long nose. It uses the nose to drink water. It is gentle, not scary.

Monkeys are naughty. They jump from tree to tree. They like bananas. They make faces at us.

The rabbit has long ears. Its eyes are red. Its tail is short. Its ears can hear the wind.

Birds live in the trees. They build nests with twigs. They sing in the morning. Their songs wake me up.

第6篇The Goldfish 金鱼

I have two goldfish. One is red. One is black. They swim round and round. They never close their eyes.

译文：我养了两条金鱼，一条红的，一条黑的。它们游来游去，从来不闭眼睛。

第7篇The Tortoise 乌龟

The tortoise walks slowly. It carries its house on its back. When it is tired, it sleeps in its house.

第8篇The Penguin 企鹅

Penguins live where it is cold. They cannot fly. But they swim very well. They walk like little gentlemen.

第9篇The Giraffe 长颈鹿

The giraffe has a long neck. It is the tallest animal. It eats leaves from tall trees. Other animals cannot reach them.

第10篇Busy Bees 忙碌的蜜蜂

Bees are small but busy. They visit flowers all day. They make sweet honey. We should learn from bees.

译文：蜜蜂小而忙碌，整天在花间飞，酿出甜甜的蜜。我们应该向蜜蜂学习。
