Stand in the Snow Before Cheng Yi's Gate（程门立雪）

In the Song Dynasty, there was a smart and diligent kid named Yang Shi. He loved studying from an early age and always hoped to learn from great scholars to improve himself.

At that time, the two brothers Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi were very famous scholars across the country. They were knowledgeable and noble, and many young people longed to become their students. Knowing this, Yang Shi made up his mind and decided to learn from them. In the beginning, he studied patiently and carefully under the guidance of Cheng Hao and gained plenty of knowledge.

Unfortunately, Cheng Hao passed away later. To continue his studies, Yang Shi went to visit Cheng Yi and studied with him respectfully.

Before long, it began to snow heavily. The wind blew sharply and the snow became heavier and heavier. The ground, the yard and the doorway were soon covered with thick snow. However, Yang Shi and You Zuo stood firmly in the snow without moving a single step, letting the snow slowly cover their shoes and clothes.

After a long time, Cheng Yi finally woke up. When he walked out of the door and saw the thick snow and the two frozen but polite students standing outside, he was deeply touched. He immediately invited them into the warm room and taught them knowledge wholeheartedly.

The story of Yang Shi and You Zuo standing in the snow to wait for their teacher has been passed down for hundreds of years. It tells us the importance of respecting teachers and valuing education. 许久之后，程颐方才睡醒。他走出房门，看到漫天飞雪和门外静静伫立的两名学子，内心深受感动，立刻将二人请进屋内，尽心传授学识。

杨时、游酢程门立雪的故事流传百年、经久不衰。这个故事告诉我们尊师重道的重要意义。时至今日，人们依旧用这个故事教导后辈，要尊师敬师、勤学向学，始终保持谦逊真诚的求学态度。
