初中英语阅读:Making friendsMaking friends at my new school is really difficult for me. At my old school in Toronto, I was in the football team and the music club, so I was very popular and had a lot of friends. Everything changed when I was 13 years old because my parents decided to move to Florida. Adjusting to a new school was not easy for me. I compared my old days with the days here. I found that the first few days in my new school were really difficult. The class schedule and the teachers' teaching methods were different. All the students had very strong personalities. They dressed in their own ways instead of wearing school uniforms. Some kids tried to communicate with me, but I was afraid to talk to them. I became shy and quiet. After a few weeks, I realized that no one even tried to talk to me anymore. I expected to make new friends, so I started to talk to a few classmates. I always said to them politely, "How are you? Can we become good friends?" Finally, I made some friends and got along well with them. From then on, I began to have more friends. And many of them still have good relationships with me now. I learnt an important lesson about making friends that year. 
英语不像有些家长想的那样，分数上不去就是单词没背够。 有的孩子单词认识，可放进句子里就读不懂。说明他缺的是句子结构能力。 有的孩子语法题能做，但阅读理解差。说明知识点没有进入真实语境。 有的孩子课文会背，但写作文不会用。说明输入没有转成输出。 学语言需要完整体系，不要割裂背单词、刷语法、练听力。分开单独学，容易出现：单词背了不会读、看得懂听不懂、语法会做题但不会说话。
