高中英语阅读理解障碍-省略与替代的先立框架篇(2)
你有没有过这种时刻 —— 阅读里一句话，单词全都认识，可就是读不懂。句子不长，却像被人挖掉了几块：该有的动词没了，主语也不见了，只剩下一个孤零零的 one、that 或者 so，悬在那里。你盯着它，它盯着你，谁也不知道它到底在指谁。
这不怪你，是英语在 "偷懒"。
为了让表达更简洁，英语会悄悄省略掉重复的部分，这就是今天要聊的省略与替代。它让英文读起来干净利落，却也成了高考阅读里最隐蔽的失分点：你以为你在读句子，其实你只读到了半句。
2. 比较结构中的省略 ——than /as 后面 "缺一块"
比较从句常把与主句重复的部分省掉，还原后才能看清比的是什么。

还原：than when it is onscreen.
—— 比较的是 "纸质阅读" 和 "屏幕阅读" 两种情境，不是 "纸" 和 "屏幕" 两个物体。

I'm careful not to connect what my kids weigh with their worth as people.
还原：... connect what my kids weigh with what their worth as people is .（第二个宾语从句的谓语 is 被省）

（比较从句里省掉 eating）

整句主干：如果你想讲述不偏袒任何一部分人类的世界史，就不能只靠文字
—— 因为只有一部分人有过文字，而大多数人大多时候没有。
3. 并列结构省略重复成分
真题⑨｜2025 全国二卷
Doctors practice medicine and lawyers practice law, and you should allow yourself the practice it takes to sustain a plant.
这里 practice 在第二个并列分句里被省略
（口语化表达，符合说话人风格），只留 law。
4. 宾语从句省略 that /should（虚拟语气）
真题⑩｜2025 全国一卷・阅读
"I only required that the piece meet the specifications ... and that it contain a thesis."
required 后接两个宾语从句，均省略了 should，所以 meet、contain 用动词原形。
注意：that 在这里不能省
（第二个 that 前有 and，保留 that 避免歧义）。
