The experience was truly enlightening and left a profound impact on me. The moment I stepped into the museum, I was immediately immersed in a sea of history. The exhibits, ranging from ancient paintings to jade carvings, offered a glimpse into our nation's history. The visit not only expanded my historical knowledge but also sparked a greater appreciation for the arts. I appeal to all of you to visit the National Museum of China if you haven't yet. It's surely an educational journey that will undoubtedly enrich your understanding of China’s history and culture. Thank you. 第二节:Version 2 1“What matters most is that you’re both alive. Hannah and I will forgive you.” she said. Upon hearing the comforting words, I hugged her tightly, tears blurring my eyes. A burst of warmth flooded over me, for I was moved by her kindness and forgiveness. I plucked up enough courage to request her to take me to Hannah’s ward. Seeing me getting close to her bed on the wheelchair pushed by her mother, Hannah asked eagerly, “Are you all right?” Tears of joy and relief poured down our cheeks. I held Hannah’s hands, expressing my sincere apologies and appreciation. Hannah and I returned to our normal life due to Sharon’s forgiveness. We stayed friends throughout high school and college. Hannah gave up her modeling job and found a better one and we got back to be in the same car together as before. As time went by, Hannah’s scars were so faint that almost no one else would notice them. However, I could still see it below her hairline in the sunlight. For me, not only was it a scar, but also a sign which holds the essence of grace. Version 2 “What matters most is that you’re both alive. Hannah and I will forgive you.” she said. Overwhelmed by the sense of self-accusation and regret, I choked with tremendous guilt, “If only I had been more cautious! I couldn’t forgive myself for the harm caused to Hannah.” Aware of my desperation, Sharon took me in her arms, patting me on the back. I gathered enough courage to request her to take me to Hannah’s ward. Seeing me getting close to her bed on the wheelchair pushed by her mother, Hannah squeezed out her voice with her eyes flooded with worry, “Are you all right?” Tears of joy and relief poured down our cheeks. Hannah and I returned to our normal life due to Sharon’s forgiveness. Owing to the plastic surgeon, Hannah’s wound healed well, leaving only a faint scar that was barely noticeable. With guilt and regret serving as the reminder of my actions, I swore to be more cautious and responsible in the future. We devoted countless hours to engaging in heartfelt conversations, sharing laughter, and offering mutual support. Our friendship deepened in the fires of hardship and forgiveness. What remained vividly in my mind was her her eyes with love and kindness, driving me to withstand my temptation to resent someone for a perceived wrong. 听力材料 (Text1) W: You ' d better hurry. Our next topic is really interesting. Twins are quite popular nowadays here in London - there are books about twins, websites about twins; twins even have their own festivals and clubs. We’ve sent Trevor Williams, to America to find out first - hand information about a very special twins place. Trevor, can you hear me? M: Yes, Karen, loud and clear. W: And where are you today, Trevor? M: As you can see, I’ m here in the heart of New York City, in an amazing place -- Twins Bistro. W: Well, then Trevor, what can you tell us about it? M: Well, Karen, I spoke to the owners, twins Debbic and Lisa Ganz. They come from Chicago. They told me that all the waiters and waitresses here are twins that look exactly alike -37 pairs in all - and they always work at the same time, at the same tables. W: Don ' t the customer get confused? M: That ' s part of the fun! And by the way, if one twin is ill, the other one needn’t bother to show up for work. They are only allowed to work in pairs. W: That ' s beyond belief! (Text 10) W: Welcome to the international language college. It ' s a beautiful place that is well worth visiting in this city. As freshmen, you might find it difficult to find your way in the college, so we will take you on a quick tour. The college used to have four departments: English, French, German and Russian, but now there is a Chinese department as well and we are going to set up a Spanish department soon. At the moment we ' re outside the English department. In the English department there are over 200 students, 30 students in each class. We have 50 teachers, including 20 professors in this department. The teachers are all from different places, mainly from the U. S. A .and Australia, with a few from England and Canada. All of your classes will be here in this building. In the French department, there are over 150 students and 40 teachers mainly from France and Canada. In the Russian department, we have more than 120 students, and 28 teachers from Russia. Now, let ' s walk over to the main library which is the largest building in the college. But I must remind you that this tour doesn't include a visit to the reading rooms. There are many students on weekdays. They need quiet. I’m afraid we don’ t do visits on any weekday during working hours. If you do want to see these rooms, the only day there are tours is on Sundays, because the library is closed for maintenance on Saturday. 4
