三、参考答案
But then, she heard a familiar voice, “Go, Mia! You can do it!” It was Emma. Mia turned her head slightly
and saw her best friend waving a big banner enthusiastically. The encouragement was like a spark that reignited
the fire in her heart. She clenched her fists and summoned up all her remaining strength. Ignoring the pain in her
legs and the shortness of breath, she quickened her pace. With every step, she felt more determined.
With just 50 meters to go, she could barely breathe. Her legs were heavy, but her mind was clear. She was so
close to the finish line. The image of her family and friends waiting for her at the end spurred her on. Summoning
every bit of strength left in her body, she dashed forward. As she crossed the finish line, the crowd erupted in
cheers. Mia was tired but overjoyed. She had achieved what she set out to do, and that was more precious than any
medal.

附听力原文
Text 1
W: I like your wallet. Did you buy it on your trip to London?
M: No. Do you remember last year when I went to Brussels? Well, I took a day trip to Amsterdam and found it
there. (1)
W: Your wallet has travelled further than I have!
Text 2
W: Welcome back to Washington. Did you enjoy your holiday?
M: Yes, but coming back was a shock. I got on the plane in warm sunshine but got off in snow.
W: It’s been like this for a week, (2) although they say it will turn to rain soon.
Text 3
W: Hello, UPS? I’m calling to check on a package I sent on the 4th. It should have arrived on the 10th. (3)
M: I’m sorry for that, Miss. There must be something wrong. It’s the 12th today. Tell me your package number, and
I’ll check on the computer.
Text 4
W: It’s so dark in this room. Haven’t you fixed the lights?
M: Yes, they’re good now. But the room never gets brighter than this. It should have a bigger window.
W: Maybe it would look better if the walls were painted a lighter colour. You should do that. (4)
Text 5
W: I thought we’d get off at Penn Station. The map said it’s close to the park, so we don’t need to walk a lot.
M: Yeah, but Penn Station is the next station. We just arrived at Fig Street.
W: Ha-ha, that’s my fault. (5)
Text 6
M: I feel I’m old.
W: What’s wrong, Dad? (6)
M: I’m trying to use the computer to buy something online, but it says my password is wrong. (7)
6W: Did you write it down?
M: Yes, but I can’t remember where I put the note. I called your sister to see if she knows, but Jane didn’t
answer the phone. (6)
W: Just indicate that you’ve forgotten your password, and then it will send a message to your email address.
M: But how do I check my email if I can’t use the computer? (7)
W: Try to check emails on Mom’s laptop.
Text 7
M: I have Carole Box with me here today, (8) (9) (10) who gave up her job as a banker to become a
best-selling writer. (9) Welcome, Carole.
W: Thank you Burt, (10) but I must point out that I didn’t know my books would be best-sellers when I started.
M: Of course not, but your first novel sold a million copies, and the two you have written since that have both
sold two million. (8)
W: Yes, I have been very fortunate.
M: But it wasn’t just luck. You have a unique style of writing that attracts people. You take difficult and mixed
ideas and express them simply. (9)
W: Thank you. I always think a book is of no use if people struggle to understand it.
M: Perhaps you could read us a passage from your latest novel. (10)
Text 8
M: I’ve lived in this town forever. I can’t believe I’m moving away tomorrow. (11)
W: I know. Everyone on our soccer team thought you wouldn’t leave for another half year. What did your
classmates and teachers at your school say about your move?
M: They were surprised, too. I wish my mom could have waited until I graduated from high school to get a
new job. That’s the only reason we have to move across the country. (12)
W: You only have one year of high school left. Have you seen your new house?
M: Not yet, but my parents are so proud of it. They keep saying that my sister and I will love it. But I feel so
nervous now. (13) I’ve never thought of the move, and I love this town.
W: I’m sorry, Nick. (11) (12) (13) But look on the bright side, you’ll have a new experience. Plus, you can visit us
every holiday.
M: True. I’ll miss you guys.
Text 9
W: Jim, (15) (16) do you have a minute to talk? (14)
M: Sure. Thanks for broadcasting our new movie’s first showing. (14) It took us two years to finish this movie.
We’re very glad to finally celebrate it now.
W: Great. Our viewers know you so well from your films about wars, history, and travel. But can you tell us
anything that our viewers might not know?
7M: Sure. I started my career because of my school’s theater program. (15) So, to all the young hopeful actors
out there, you don’t need to wait until you get an offer from an agency or you finish professional training to
start acting! Just take the chance as it shows up.
W: Great advice. Thanks, Jim. What can we expect from you in the future? What will be your next movie?
M: My next project is a comedy film that I’m very excited about. (16)
W: Wow, that sounds fantastic. Enjoy the celebration tonight — we’ll see you when you give your speech!
M: Thanks. Look who is here. My very talented co-star actress Selena. You should interview her now. (17)
W: That would be perfect, thanks. (17)
Text 10 (第18题为推断题)
Good morning, everyone and welcome to a new school term. We have an exciting time ahead for both staff and
students. Next week we will be welcoming our new first-year students and I hope that you will all make them feel
welcome and help them settle in. Now, I want to remind everyone that our school will be having a government safety
check this Friday. The officials are due to arrive before the morning meeting and will spend the first couple of
hours checking the electrical system. (19) Then, they will move on to check the fire alarms and the safety doors,
which could mean they will be coming into your classrooms. During an earlier visit, an official pointed out a safety
issue with the surface of our football field. This has now been closed until changes have been made. However,
football can still be played in the school yard. Depending on the results of the examination, there may have to be
more changes. To discuss this topic, our school will close on Friday afternoon for a special staff meeting. (20)
That’s all for today. Thank you.
