66.One Possible Version:
Dear classmates,
This summer, I joined a volunteer program at a community center to teach senior citizens
smartphone skills. First, I created simple handouts with step-by-step illustrations for tasks like
video-calling family and ordering food online. During the sessions, I noticed many struggled with
touchscreens, so I used real-life examples to explain functions. For instance, when teaching photo
sharing, I showed them how to send pictures of their grandchildren. Though some took longer to
grasp the concepts, their excitement when finally making a video call or ordering successfully
made every effort worthwhile.
This experience taught me that patience is key in communication. It also made me realize
that in our digital age, helping the elderly adapt isn’t just a favor — it’s a way to connect
generations and spread warmth. The smiles on their faces were the best reward I could ask for.
Thank you!

67.One Possible Version:
Paragraph 1:
The clock struck midnight as I finally stepped back from the painting stand. Before me
stood a not technically perfect painting, but something far more honest — a cloud of dark blues
and grays gradually giving way to warm yellows and oranges. In the center, a small but
determined figure emerged, her outline formed by the negative space Mia always praised me for
noticing. My hands, now covered with every color on the board, trembled not from nervousness
but from the genuine emotion I’d poured onto that canvas. For the first time, I understood what
Mrs. Larson meant by “personal journey.”
Paragraph 2:
Two days later, I was surprised to see so many people gathering around my work at the
exhibition. A freshman girl pointed excitedly, “It’s like watching sunrise after a storm!” Mrs.
Larson nodded thoughtfully, murmuring something about “authentic emotional expression” to
the principal. Then I noticed Mia in the back, wiping her eyes while giving me two thumbs up. At
that moment, surrounded by murmurs of appreciation, I realized art wasn’t about being the best
— it was about finding the courage to share your unique perspective with the world. And maybe,
just maybe, that was a lesson that applied to more than just painting.【导语】本文以人物为线索展开,文章讲述作者面对期末美术作业的空白画布心生畏惧,

1.
【原文】M: My job is so boring. I really don’t like dealing with customers in the front desk.
W: Really? Maybe you should try something new.
M: I don’t know. I’ve always wanted to be an architect, but I’d have to go back to school.
2.
【原文】W: The announcement said my flight will depart from Gate 30 instead of 20. Why is my
flight number not on the screen at Gate 30? It will depart in 35 minutes.M: You must have missed the second announcement. Please ignore the gate change. It was an
error.
3.
【原文】M: We’re moving very slowly again now. I’m going to miss my meeting if we don’t
speed up soon.
W: Yes, we seem to be late most days at the moment.
4.
【原文】W: How about going out for a meal on your birthday?
M: Just you and me?
W: We can ask some friends. If you fancy staying in, I could cook for us all.
M: A meal out would be great. I’ll ring Anna and Karl.
5.
【原文】M: Do you still have that book I lent you, Mary?
W: It’s just here, Mark. I’m still partway through reading it. Normally I read science fiction or love
stories but this is fascinating!
M: I’m glad you like it. I’m not a fan of horror fiction but I thought it was great.
6.~7.
【原文】W: You took this on the way to the mountain? I can see the village. And I can also feel
the beauties of nature. This was the campsite where you were staying?
M: Yes. We wanted to save money because it was high season. So we didn’t book a hotel or live in
a villager’s house.
W: Why didn’t you take photos of the mountain you were climbing?
M: I did. I took lots of photos because there was a wonderful view. But unfortunately those were
no good.
W: What a pity! Maybe something went wrong with the camera.
8.~9.
【原文】W: Can you tell me which one of these files contains the sales figures? I need them for

M: Susan and David have them, but I recommend looking at Susan’s files. I heard she always
comes out with a very good analysis of the figures.
W: Great, I’ll go with Susan’s then. Thanks for the help.M: No problem. By the way, what time does the meeting start? I guess I’ll have to attend, too.
10.~12.
【原文】W: Hi Tony! I didn’t expect to meet you here. How’s it going?
M: Fine, thanks. Well, I just read about it in the local paper. I thought it sounded interesting.
W: Me too. From the review, I didn’t expect to be able to get a table.
M: Me neither, but if you look at these prices, you can see why people lost interest.
W: You don’t say. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. And look over there, that’s Brett Flick. It’s
not every day you can say you spent the evening in the same place as a Hollywood star.
M: I suppose not. Anyway, I’d better be getting back. We’re sitting over there, near the entrance.

【原文】M: ... I’m speaking to Fiona Josephs, who’s written a book about a woman called
Beatrice Cadbury. Fiona, why did you want to write about her?
W: Well, one day I was reading about a school in the Netherlands. That had been started by a
poor married couple and the wife was called Beatrice Cadbury! I discovered she was a member of
the famous Cadbury family. I felt puzzled. Why was a rich woman living as a poor person? The
answer was so amazing that I decided to write a book.
M: What did you discover?
W: Well, as a child she lived in huge houses and was educated at the best schools. She had a very
comfortable life. But Beatrice grew up wanting to make society a better place. She married a man
from the Netherlands. While she was in the Netherlands, she decided she didn’t want to receive
any more money from the Cadbury business. She told her brother, who was running the
company, that he should give her share of the money to the factory workers instead.
M: And then what happened?
W: Well, she even invited poor people to live in her house. When it became too crowded, she
and her family had to live in a tent.
M: Oh, a great woman!

【原文】 W: Welcome to Highdown College. Firstly I’d like to say something about living
arrangements. Most of you already have a place in one of our college flats. If you have any
problems, please contact the housing staff. You’ll find the office at the entrance to the college
and it’s open from nine until four Monday to Friday. During the holidays, it’s open, mornings only,on Monday and Thursday. However, if you have an emergency, you can contact somebody on
9785423. Moving on now... the college has excellent facilities to help you with your studies,
including the Learning Resource Center that has about 50,000 library books. There are also 50
computers so you can use the Internet. There are plenty of places to eat at the college, like the
Hungry Cafe on the first floor where you can have sandwiches and salad, or, if you prefer a hot
meal at a very reasonable price you can go to the Food Hall. You’ll find it next to the bookshop,
on the ground floor. Otherwise, you can have a pub lunch in the students’ bar. There are also
machines around the college, where you can buy chocolate and drinks. Right, if anybody has any
questions about these matters, or anything else, please stay behind now. I hope all of you enjoy
your time at our college.
