The world-famous escape artist, Harry Houdini, has gone down in history as one of the best-known magicians of all

The “Great Houdini” was most famous for his escapes from ropes, heavy chains, wooden boxes, and other traps that

By 1897, Houdini had attracted a great deal of public attention. He’d staged an amazing escape at a Grand Rapids

The Great Houdini could hold his breath for three minutes or more, which was his favorite crowd-pleasing trick.
Hanging upside-down in a water-filled glass container, Houdini would amaze audiences by calmly working his way out of

In a book he penned, Houdini mentioned that the use of pressure on certain parts of locks could undo easily. Other

Identical twins Jim Springer and Jim Lewis were adopted as babies and raised by different couples. When the Jims
finally met at age 39, they discovered they had plenty in common. Both were six feet tall and weighed 180 pounds. They
had the same smile and the same voice. When psychologist (心理学家) Thomas Bouchard Jr. invited the Jim twins to his

But the similarities didn’t stop at the physical. They both enjoyed woodworking, suffered headaches, and admitted to
leaving love notes around the house for their wives. They had so much in common. It seemed unlikely these were just
coincidences.
