Primary Organizer: Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development (GHD)
Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development (GHD), founded in 2020 with Professor Gordon G. Liu as the inaugural Dean. As an interdisciplinary institute, GHD integrates the university’s strengths in health economics, public health, international relations, environmental science, digital technology, and other related fields. Guided by the vision of “One World, One Health,” GHD addresses global health issues from a human development perspective. Through interdisciplinary research, education, international cooperation, and industry-academia integration, GHD explores innovative solutions to major human health challenges, promotes China’s active participation in global health governance, and contributes to building a global community of a shared future for sustainable and inclusive development.

Yale Center Beijing (YCB) opened on October 27, 2014. As the only such center Yale University has opened outside of its campus, YCB advances Yale University’s fundamental dedication to developing leaders from all sectors of society and all regions of the globe.
By leveraging Yale’s wealth of resources as a global research university and its historically strong ties to China, the Center aims to further constructive dialogue about pressing issues and the forthright exchange of ideas and knowledge among decision-makers and thought leaders.
The Center, which is housed in a 16,500-square-foot space in Chaoyang District of Beijing, enables the University to expand existing activities and form new partnerships in China, supports research and study from each of the University’s schools and divisions, and serves as a gathering place for alumni from throughout Asia.

Eligibility for Admission
Senior undergraduate students or Master’s students.
Academic background in economics, public health, big data, or related fields; strong interest in academic research. Good English proficiency in research, academic writing, and daily communication.
