初中英语·课笺|七上 Unit 5 选社团前,先说清“我会什么”“我不会弹乐器，是不是不能参加音乐社？” 这是孩子看到社团报名表时很容易产生的误会。 其实，选择社团不只是展示已经掌握的本领，也是发现兴趣、学习新技能。英语表达也要把两件事分开： I can sing.（我会唱歌。） I want to join the music club.（我想参加音乐社。） 前一句谈能力，后一句谈意愿。现在不会某项技能，并不等于不能参加。 单独背 club 名称容易忘，把它和常见活动配对更有效： art club：draw, paint music club：sing, play an instrument science club：do experiments, make things chess club：play chess drama club：act, read with feeling ping-pong club：play ping-pong I want to join the drama club. can 是情态动词。无论主语是谁，后面的实义动词都不变化： I cansing. He canswim. Ella canplaythe violin. They canspeakEnglish. 不能写 He can swims，也不能写 Ella can to play。 这是 can 最值得孩子记住的规则： Emma can sing, but she can’t play any musical instruments. can’t 是 cannot 的缩写。后面的动词仍然用原形。 这里用 but，是因为“会唱歌”和“不会弹乐器”形成了转折。 I can’t play any musical instruments. 表示“我不会演奏任何乐器”。 陈述句： You can play chess. 一般疑问句： Can you play chess? 简短回答： Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. 换成第三人称，结构仍不变： Can she play the violin?Yes, she can. 不能回答 Yes, she can play.。在简短回答中，用 can 就足够了。 下面这些活动直接接在 play 后面： play ping-pong play basketball play football play chess 所以不能说 play the chess 或 play the basketball。 play the guitar play the violin play the piano play the drums 对比一下： I can play chess, but I can’t play the guitar. 一个是棋类，一个是乐器，冠词用法不同。 She can sing well. well 在这里修饰动作 sing，表示“唱得好”。类似说法还有： run fast draw well read with feeling cook well 不要直接说 She can sing good.。描述动作做得好，应该用 well。 I want to join the science club. I can make small models and work with my classmates. I can’t make a robot yet, but I want to learn. yet 在这里表示“还；尚未”。这句话比单纯写 I can’t ... 更积极，也更符合参加社团的真实目的。 采访同学后可以汇报： Chen Yu can swim and run fast. She wants to join the sports club. She can’t play ping-pong yet, but she wants to learn. 虽然主语是 she，仍然写 can swim，不能写 can swims。want 才需要变成 wants。
