But Mellionix hasn’t allowed his anxiety to overshadow his brilliance because he’s mastered a

Mellionix does two things during these first few minutes. First, he calms himself. Easing into the

Second,he spends this time scoping out the opposition. His legs move slowly, buthis eyes jump from

In football matches, Mellionix relies more on the preparation phase (阶段). In the classic match
between Barcelona and Real Madrid, Mellionix only ran for four minutes, while for over eighty

In department stores and closets all over the world, they are waiting. Their outward appearance

downfall of modern society. Fashion myths have led women to believe that they are more beautiful or
stylish for wearing heels, but in reality, heels succeed in creating short as well as long term troubles.
Women should fight the high heel industry by refusing to use or purchase them in order to save the
worldfromunnecessaryphysicalandpsychologicalsuffering.
For the sake of fairness, it mustbe notedthatthere is a positive side to high heels.First, heelsare
excellent for aerating lawns (草坪通气).Anyone who has ever worn heels on grass knows what I am
talkingabout.Asimpletriparoundtheyardinapairofthosebabiesgetsridofalltheneedtocallfora
lawn care specialist, and provides the perfect-sized holes to give any lawn oxygen without all those
messy blocks of dirt lying around. Second, heels are quite functional for defending against potential
enemies, who caneasily bescared awaybythreatening themwith apair of thesesharp, deadly fashion
items.
Regardless of such practical uses for heels, the fact remains that wearing high heels is harmful to
one’s physical health. Talk to any podiatrist (足病医生), and you will hear that the majority of their
business comes from high-heel-wearing women. High heels are known to cause problems such as
deformedfeetandtorntoenails.Theriskofseverebackproblemsandtwistedorbrokenanklesisthree
times higher for a high heelwearer than for a flat shoe wearer.Wearing heels also creates the threat of
getting a heel caught in a narrow sidewalk gap and being thrown to the ground―possibly breaking a
nose, back, or neck. And of course, after wearing heels for a day, any woman knows she can look

Back in 2018, scientists at Duke University discovered that each time our eyes move, our ears
make a squeaking (吱吱声) noise, which is hard or unable to hear. Now, the researchers have
developedamethodoftellingwhereapersonislookingbyanalyzing thosesounds.Althoughwedon’t
consciously hear the noises, they can be picked up by a highly sensitive microphone placed in the ear
canal.
Lead scientist Professor Jennifer Groh believes that they may occur as eye movements trigger the

noises, while doing the latter amplifies (放大) quiet ones. This arrangement could help us make sense
of our surroundings, by automatically adjusting the sensitivity of our hearing based on what we’re
lookingat.
In a recent experiment, Groh’s team and Professor Christopher Shera from the University of
Southern California recruited 16 adults, all with good vision and hearing, to take a simple test. The
volunteers started by visually tracking the movements of a green dot on a computer screen, without
moving their heads. As they did so, an eye-tracking camera recorded the direction of their gaze, while
microphonesintheirearcanalsrecordedtheirearsounds.
When the eye video and ear audio recordings were subsequently cross-referenced, it was found
that eye movements in specific directions produced specific types of ear noises. The scientists were
thus able to tell where a participant’s gaze was focused, simply by identifying what sort of noise
“signature” their ears were making. It was also possible to do the opposite — the researchers could
accurately tell what sort of sounds the volunteers’ears were making, by tracking the direction of their
gaze. It is hopedthat the team’s findings will contribute to a better understanding of human perception

Antarctica makes you feel so small and insignificant, in the best way. Everything has a purpose,
and the cycle of life is evident. You get front row seats to witness the most incredible show: nature.

Then your expedition guide regretfully tells you that a chick that is small in March would have very
