having good ideas is important, but we also need to make sure they work in the real world.”The
judges, who had been looking unhappy, started to nod as they listened. Emily's honesty and her
willingness to learn from her mistake changed the way they felt. Instead of just showing off her
project, she was teaching them all an important lesson about how science is about learning from
our mistakes and not giving up when things get tough.
