Dear Luis,
How is everything going lately? With the CPL around the corner, I have been informed that
our football team is recruiting new members. Occasionally learning that you are addicted to football, I
wonder if you would like to join us.
As for the routine of our team, we will be honored to be given high-level training by a
professional coach around 5-6 pm every Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, to improve the practical
experience and enhance the psychological quality, our team is to conduct friendly matches with
other schools’ team every two weeks. Besides, we are often offered opportunities to watch football
games together, which benefits us definitely. By the way, if you are interested in what I have stated
above, sign up on our campus website before September 25th.
I guarantee that we will have fun all the way. Looking forward to your appearance in our
training center soon.

参考范文:
Saying nothing, Joe took his little sister from me. He laid her gently on his bed, tightly
rewrapping her blanket. Putting her over his shoulder, he patted her back and spoke to her softly. He
acted so skillfully. Miraculously, Molly stopped crying immediately and became quiet. I watched in
amazement as my son, who had been so distant and cold toward me and Molly, became a loving and
caring big brother. Tears welling up in my eyes, I breathed a sigh of relief. It didn't take long for
Molly to fall asleep.
Seeing Molly sleeping peacefully in Joe's bed, I walked out, followed by Joe. “Thank you,
Joe,” I said with my eyes fixed on his little face. “Molly is lovely and poor! I feel it my responsibility
to take care of my little sister.” Joe responded. “I'm sorry that I didn't welcome her as our new family
member at first,” Joe apologized. He explained to me that he was worried Molly might take parental
love away from him. I hugged him tightly and told him it was normal to think that way and assured
him that nobody could replace him in Mom's and Dad's hearts.听力原文:

M: I'm so sorry I am late, Professor Mills. I hurt myself when playing soccer this morning. It took
a longer time than I had expected to see the doctor.
W: That's OK. Don't worry about it, David.
Text 2
W: I'm sorry, sir. It is not required to use a credit card within 5 dollars.
M: But I don't have cash. And I really need this book.
W: You can add some stuff that costs $1 probably.
Text 3
M: Have you watched What Is Peppa, Jane?
W: Yes. It is a promotional video of the film Peppa Celebrates Chinese New Year.
M: What do you think of it?
W: I had thought it was funny or relaxing. But after I watched it, I couldn't hold back my tears.
Text 4
W: I'd like everyone to hand in the movie report about the Oscar-winning film Spider-Man: Into
the Spider-Verse next Monday.
M: Are you going to grade it or is this just for practice?
W: I'll grade it for sure.
Text 5
M: I don't think I can eat any more of this steak. It's not cooked properly, and it's making me feel sick.
W: That's OK, honey. Here, have some of these potatoes. They're very delicious.
Text 6
W: Finally a scientific study with good results about coffee has been done!
M: Hasn't there been a lot of coffee research lately? I know I read that coffee is good for your
heart; coffee can make your life longer; and coffee can prevent some diseases. What else have they
found?
W: The best thing: drinking coffee late in the day is good for some people, specifically, night
owls. A late-night coffee affects morning birds badly, but not people like me who normally stay up
late.We Italians often have a small cup of coffee in the evening. For me, the night can’t start without
one!

M: Hi, Monica! What are you doing on Wednesday night? There will be a great show at the Global
Theater. Would you like to go with me?
W: Wednesday night? Oh, sorry, I’m planning to finish my composition.
M: Oh, well, never mind. How about Thursday? Why don’t we go out for dinner? Just you and
me.
W: That sounds like a good idea, but I might have to clean up the apartment.
M: Well, that means you’re going to be busy on Thursday night, too?
W: I’m afraid so.

M: OK, Mrs. Smith. I finished cleaning up the leaves in the garden.
W: Oh, thank you, James.M: I also swept the front steps and took out the rubbish. Is there anything else I can help you
with?
W: Can you also take my dog for a walk?
M: Sure!
W: You’re such a prince! Ever since I broke my leg, it has been difficult to take care of things
around the house. My daughter Leah helps me out on Mondays and Tuesdays, and my son Eric on
Thursdays. But I’m so happy that you can come on Saturdays.
M: Well, I appreciate the weekend work. I’m saving up to buy a bike so I can ride to my basketball
practice.
W: Will you still be able to work for me after you get your bike?
M: Of course! But don’t forget I will visit my grandfather next weekend. My sister Alison will
come by instead.
W: OK.

W: Good evening, Mr. Jindal. Thank you for joining us tonight. First, could you tell us about your
experience in the contest called “This Time, You Are the Champion”?
M: Certainly. It was in the year 2019. I was a recent college graduate and so broke that I couldn’t
even pay my graduation fees. Then I decided to enter the contest because I knew I would receive
$2,000 if I won. Luckily, I won.
W: Did it bring any changes to your life?
M: Yes. The winnings not only allowed me to pay off my loan for college but it helped me make
the Travel Talk app. The win also made me a bit of a celebrity in my small town, bringing me
invitations to speak at local functions. On the whole, winning the contest was a great experience for
me.
W: Do you have any suggestions for those who want to enter the contest?
M: Yes. First, you should learn well about the rules. Second, you should read different kinds of
materials to enrich your knowledge.
W: Well, Mr. Jindal, thank you again for joining us in tonight’s program.
M: The honor is all mine!

Look at the map now! I’m going to give you an introduction to the site. Now we’re on the right
side of a river, standing at the entrance, and to our right is the ticket office. You won’t need that
because you’ve got your group booking, and just past it are the toilets—always good to know where
they are. To our left is a shop. That’s where you can get the guidebooks.
The big stone building at the top is the main workshop. That’s where all the metal was made
into tools, which you’ll be able to see. Now, in the top right-hand corner, that building is the
Showroom, where some tools are on show. In the top left corner is the Grinding Shop, where tools
were sharpened and finished. And on one side of that you can see a cafe, which isn’t an antique. But
they do serve very nice traditional tea. The rows of small wooden houses are on the left. These were
built for the workers in the 18th century. You can get a good idea of ordinary people’s living
conditions there. Across from them, you can see a yard where the horses were kept for transporting
the products.
