的前三个,用来代表简单的入门知识。另外,
大写字母连写还用作一些公司的缩写,例如
ABC 可以表示中国农业银行(Agricultural
Bank of China),或者美国广播公司(American
Broadcasting Corporation)。

为什么英文中 I(我)总是大写呢?在中
世纪,英语“我”并不是 I,而是 ich,而且不
需要大写。后来 ich 逐渐演变成 i,但是小写的
i 老是造成歧义,造成句子不通或意思不同。
于是大写 I 就出现了,用来专指第一人称代
词,这样区分字母 i,句子就不会产生岐义。而
you,he,she 不同,是几个字母组成的词,与
其他词一样,用在句中没有必要大写。

中有楷体、宋体等多种书写形式一样,英语中也有
不同的书写形式,如斜体式、直体式等。现在国际
上通用直体式,我们所学的正是这种形式。但是爸
