A Place to Take a Walk
I’m visiting New York. It’s a busy city. When people are tired, they go to Central Park
to take a walk. It’s in the centre of Manhattan. There are tall buildings around the park.
When you walk into the park, you can see thousands of trees.
If you like Shakespeare, you can go to Delacorte Theatre in the park and enjoy free
operas.
New Yorkers often say that only fools go to Central Park at night, because it’s too
dangerous. But I took a walk there last night.
I walked and walked. And I got lost. It was very dark. I felt some animals watching
me. Were they bears? Suddenly, they jumped out of the grass. They were lovely
raccoons!
