8. 情态动词表委婉语气
我们都知道英国以“绅士风度”著称，对熟悉的人，不亲近的关系及陌生人；同辈朋友或者长辈亲友；女士又或男士；年轻或年长者表达同样意思采取的表达方式会有所不同，这些语气上的差别最常见就是从情态动词上体现出来。
