as well.
M: Interesting! I haven't heard of it.
Text 3
W: How long have you been living in Africa? I see that you can cook the local food, and you seem so familiar
with everything!
M: Actually, I've been traveling around Africa for almost four years. Life is amazing here, and I'm in love
with African culture.
Text 4

W: They're posters for our championship match next Friday. I want to make sure as many
students come as possible.
M: Next Friday? I can't wait to see you guys play!

M: Hold on, Ann. I've got to sit down for a second.
W: What's wrong? Wow, you don't look so good. How long have you been out in the sun?
M: Too long, I think. I'm very dizzy and thirsty.
W: Well, have some water first.
Text 6
M: Don't look yet. We're a few houses away. Ready, go ahead and look!
W:Wow. The house is huge, honey!
M: I know, dear. After four months of work, the workers and I finished the floor and the rooms.
Finally, it's ready!

学科网(北京)股份有限公司M: I'm planning my two-week trip to Australia next month. I've heard you've been there before.
Could you share any suggestions?
W: How fun, and of course! You could start with a road trip from Brisbane to Sydney. That

skydiving there. That would be an unforgettable experience, I promise.
M: It sounds fantastic already. I can't wait! But what about Melbourne?
W: If you have time, check that out too. Melbourne is one of my favorite cities. You'll love the
roads by the sea.

W: This black truck seems perfect for daily driving. But how many kilometers does it get per liter of fuel?
M: Around 12 km per liter.
W: I see. With today's gas prices, that might be unaffordable. Are there others that use less fuel?
M: Sure, Miss. But you know, electric vehicles are the future. Here in Norway, almost 75% of new
cars sold are electric. Plus, by 2025, Norway plans to remove gasoline vehicles from the
market.
W: Wow, are other countries supporting this as well?
M: Sure. China and Western Europe are leading in the production and use of electric cars.
And many countries, including India and South Korea, have planned to remove gasoline cars entirely
within the decade.
W: It's a new generation, isn't it?
M: That's right. And in the future, we'll all benefit from having cleaner and fresher air.
W: Can I get an electric truck? Or are most of these green vehicles smaller?
M: They come in all shapes and sizes. Let's have a look at the newest models we have in

hours there, and then go to work.

Text 10
M: Thanks everyone for coming out for our town's 99th annual Summer Festival.
Before we get into our games, performances by local students, and finally our big BBQ
meal, I'd like to make some announcements. First, I'm so happy that the funding is complete for
our new school buildings. Everyone, please give a big hand to the group of 20 local parents
who came together to raise the money.
This project will mean so much to the young students in town. When they get a better
education, the future of our entire community wins. Second, I'd like to thank everyone who
volunteered to help organize this event. Because of you, almost every town resident is at this
party. The local government leaders, including me, all feel very honored. Also, I appreciate
receiving your votes in this town's last election. But enough waiting, we've got a beautiful
afternoon ahead of us as we celebrate the first day of the summer, the best time of Los
Angeles. Next up, we've got a special game for the children out there. Now, parents, get your kids
and line up as we start our game. And we've prepared some beautiful medals for the winners as prizes.
So, let's get ready!
