1) Let’s look at page 91 The life is full of the unexpected.
2) Read the passage and answer the questions below.
• 1. Which two events does the writer mention?
• 2. How did the writer end up missing both events?
Now let’s learn the text. The following is a story about two events the
writer had, The teacher asks the students to read by themselves for about
two times, and then asks one student to read to the class. Then the
teacher reads the text and changes it to Chinese. Then Let the students
read again and let them pay attention to the structure “past perfect
sense” .And ask one student to answer the questions.
• 1. Which two events does the writer mention?
• A. The planes hit his office building.

• B. He missed his plane.
• 2. How did the writer end up missing both events?
• Lucky.
2Now the teacher asks two students to read the passage to the class,
after one finish reading , the teacher says Good to him or her; them the
teacher read the text and change it to Chinese Comprehension Check.
