3. Prepared Speech
1st Speech A Bad Timer
– by Glenny LI

In her speech, Glenny shares a personal Toastmasters Timer role story: after a 30-minute meeting delay caused by my hesitation to interrupt speakers, I avoided the role for years. Later, as Meeting Manager, I learned the Timer’s true purpose isn’t just watching the clock—it’s upholding the meeting’s flow for everyone. This taught me to always see a role’s core responsibility, whether in Toastmasters or life.
2nd Speech Gift
– by Ryan ZHANG

This speech shares Ryan’s Toastmasters Pathways journey (IP L5-3). He once lost passion and wanted to quit, but mentors and team support rekindled his enthusiasm. Through 15 speeches and 5 projects, he improved EQ, learned to love others, met his wife Joyce, and grew into a better self. He views Pathways as a precious gift and encourages everyone to embrace growth patiently in Toastmasters.
3rd Speech Take off Your Black Glasses
– by Vincent CHEN

Vincent uses the metaphor of “taking off black glasses” to show how self-imposed doubts like perfectionism and fear cloud our judgment. Rooted in the idea that we are inherently capable, it encourages us to shed limiting beliefs, trust our inner light, and start taking action freely.

See you on 1st March, 2026 at SoYoung TMC’s next meeting!!!
