马上要开学了，新高一的老师都在愁，开学第一课怎么上？分享下我的思路。怎么上？首先我们第一课的目标是什么？我自己定的目标是：1. get to know a little about the English teacher.2. come to find English is everywhere and interesting 3. have a general idea about how to learn English well in senior high school.以目标导向，所以我设计了一个框架：about meabout Englishabout English learning 活动设计如下：step 1: about me Ice- breaker Teacher makes a brief introduction and then says something about herself in three sentences, including 2 truths and a lie.Students are asked to write their own 2 truths and 1 lie, sharing with their partner. T asks three volunteers to share with the class.这个活动有趣，又可以很好地让师生生生互相了解。Step 2: about English 在关于我的2 truths and 1 lie 里的lie 是I once ate 30 dumplings in a meal.我就会问： how did you guess my lie just now?不管学生说什么，其实背后肯定是逻辑，所以就用这个词为接口，进入第二part。activity 1:So do you know the English word of 逻辑？由此引入一些中文的loan words. 逻辑，咖啡，麦克风，幽默，歇斯底里，吉普，巧克力，克隆，模特，粉丝，坦克，沙发，迷你，酷活动设计：把这些中文的loan words分成三组呈现，由易到难，让他们说出他们对应的英语。activity 2:WHO，WTO，VIP, MVP, CEO, CFO, GDP, GPS, FBI, UNESCO, 5G, 3D, ATM, IT, AI, DIY, GOAT(greatest of all time) 永远的神把学生分成2-4人一组，把这些缩写分成三组，5-8个一组，由易到难，每组先match with their meanings， 然后在写出他们的全称。可以准备一点小礼品，给最佳表现组。Actovity 3 laugh and learn pun and fun这一组5个English puns 给他们猜，给出可能的3个punchline，让他们猜，最后vote for the best pun. "You just heard jokes in a foreign language. Some of you understood them instantly. Some of you only understood after I explained. Both are okay.Here is the secret: A pun is a collision of two meanings. English is full of these collisions. To get the joke, you have to think like a detective, not a memorizing machine. This is exactly how you must learn English in Senior High. You need a toolbox to catch it, keep it, and make it yours."Step 3: about English learning 这块，我偏向于一些学习方法指导，或者课堂上英语学习的要求或习惯，这个部分因人而异。1. read aloud 我觉得这是最重要的，所以我还会解释下为什么2. take notes 3. mistakes = milestones 4. correction and reflection 每个要求或习惯都要进行阐释，让学生深刻理解这些为什么重要。closing speech Senior High English is not about passing the Gaokao. It's about unlocking a second brain. That brain can already understand 'coffee,' 'GPS,' and 'gummy bears.' Today, we proved that. From now on, we just build on top of what you already have.
