Mechanical requirements for furniture（CN）
Specification updated：
This Product Development Requirement document describes the mandatory requirements for furniture except infants and children’s furniture for China Market. It applies to domestic, non-domestic, office and outdoor use furniture.
All products in the scope shall fulfil the general requirements in GB 28008-2024. The requirements in PDR only apply to the product development cycle.
Main technical changes:
1. Updated section 1.1.2: Interpretation of vertically moving parts
2. Updated section 1.1.4: Interpretation of castors
3. Updated section 1.1.5.1: Stability for outdoor use seating
4. Updated section 1.1.5.2: Stability for outdoor use tables
5. Updated section 1.1.7: Interpretation of holes and gaps on rigid parts
6. Added new section 1.1.9: Interpretation of shear and squeeze points for placement, adjustment and folding
7. Added new section 1.1.10: Interpretation of shear and squeeze points under the influence of powered mechanism
8. Added new section 1.1.11: Interpretation of shear and squeeze points during normal use
