The longer intervals enable us to truly relax and recharge, crucial for maintaining focus and productivity during intense study sessions. Additionally, it fosters social interactions with our classmates, thus contributing to our overall health. To make the extended breaks more engaging, I propose such “Fun Break” activities as mind-relaxing games like chess or puzzles, short storytelling sessions, or even music sessions where students can share their favorite songs. Such activities not only provide fun and relaxation but also stimulate creativity and teamwork. In conclusion, extended breaks with creative and fun options can significantly enhance our overall school experience, making learning more enjoyable and effective. Let􀆳s embrace these changes and make our breaks count! 第二节 读后续写 满分 分 : ( 25 ) An old man who looked worried opened the door. He seemed a bit surprised to see a group of people at his doorstep on such a cold winter day. We introduced ourselves and explained the purpose of our visit. He hesitated for a moment but then welcomed us in with a warm smile, gesturing for us to come inside. In the living room, a woman who looked pale greeted us, the table before her littered with medicine. I couldn􀆳t help but feel a sense of pity, unsure how to connect with the couple. To my relief, Jane cheerfully started the conversation, guiding it towards light-hearted and enjoyable topics. Finally, all talked, including the couple, whose faces gradually lit up. After the cheerful conversation we began to sing. , As we sang our simple songs, the wife􀆳s eyes sparkled with tears of joy, and the husband􀆳s uneasy expression softened into a gentle grin. We didn􀆳t have a guitar to accompany us, and our voices weren􀆳t perfect, but the sincerity in our songs filled the room with a sense of comfort. After our performance, the couple thanked us with tears in their eyes, expressing how our visit had made their day. It was then that my worries totally melted away and I realized they didn􀆳t need a grand performance. The simple act of chatting, singing, and being present was enough to uplift their spirits. Joyfully, we said goodbye and drove to our next destination. 英语试卷参考答案与评分细则 第 页 共 页 2 ( 5 )湖北省高中名校联盟 届高三第二次联合测评 2025 听力部分录音稿 (Text 1) M: Hey, Evelyn, are we still on for badminton at 6:30 p.m.? W: Sorry, I can􀆳t make it. I have a guitar lesson. It􀆳s usually at 7:30 p.m., but today it􀆳s rescheduled to 30 minutes earlier. M: Oh, what a pity. (Text 2) W: What can I help with? M: We􀆳re in need of volunteers to set up tables, guide guests, and take care of the registration at the reception desk. Which would you prefer? W: My feet are killing me. Anything without walking around would be great. (Text 3) W: Hey, look at that piece in the gallery. It􀆳s just like the one we saw on our trip to Paris. M: It really brings back memories of the trip. The art scene was truly inspiring. (Text 4) W: What􀆳s going on, Daniel? You look really upset. M: Can you help me with my homework, Mary? I can􀆳t calculate these figures. W: That􀆳s not really my thing. If it were science or history, I􀆳d be the one to ask. (Text 5) W: Could we get more towels? We got caught in the rain coming back from the supermarket. M: Absolutely! I􀆳ll send a robot up with them right away. Also, just to confirm, breakfast for tomorrow at 8 a. m.? W: Yes, please. (Text 6) M: Hey, how􀆳s it going? W: Not bad. I􀆳m thinking of organizing a party for our Chinese teacher next Friday. He will retire soon and move to another city. What do you think? M: Sounds good! Count me in. Let me take on some jobs on your to-do list. 英语试卷参考答案与评分细则 第 页 共 页 3 ( 5 )W: Well, the first thing is to find a venue for the party. M: What about my apartment? W: Yeah, it􀆳s big enough and close, plus no weather worries. M: OK, I􀆳ll check with my neighbors, especially the downstairs family. (Text 7) M: Hello, I􀆳ve read great reviews of your bakery. It􀆳s said your chef comes from a Michelin background. You􀆳re famous for your strawberry cakes, right? I􀆳d like to try one. W: Sorry, we have strawberry cakes only when the local strawberries are ripe. They􀆳re too delicate to ship well. Would you like to try a mango cake instead? M: Sure, and, by any chance, have you opened an account on delivery platforms? I􀆳m expecting some guests at my house on Tuesday afternoon, and I􀆳d like to have some desserts available. W: No, we haven􀆳t, but if you􀆳re in the neighborhood, I can bring your order to your house. M: Great, thanks a lot. Here􀆳s the address. (Text 8) W: The holiday is coming soon. M: Well, let􀆳s not leave the planning to the last minute this year. And our top priority is to get our passports renewed. W: But we haven􀆳t booked anything yet. Where shall we go? M: Do you fancy doing something active again this year? Do you remember that walking holiday we did in Spain — wasn􀆳t that fun? Or we could do a road trip. W: That walking holiday was brilliant! But I want to try something different. Actually, the same company also does cycling holidays. M: Yes, it also offers various levels of difficulty. But the best thing about it is that it handles all the arrangements. W: Great. Let􀆳s book it early and prepare the equipment beforehand. (Text 9) M: Hello, Ms. Kate Berry. We often think of libraries as places for borrowing books, but your Eugene Public Library has surprised us by offering so much more, like board games, arts and crafts, and even musical instruments. W: Haha, that􀆳s true! We have a special section for checking out non-literary items. Recently, we􀆳ve added something truly unique: robot cats. M: Really? Could you tell us more about that? W: Of course. The robot cats were brought in for a special reason. They were bought for the visitors who may be 英语试卷参考答案与评分细则 第 页 共 页 4 ( 5 )alone and in need of the company. They make sounds like real cats, sit on your legs, and enjoy nothing more than a good brush, which is really comforting. M: Well, how many robot cats do you have? W: Each of our three library floors has one for visitors, and we have two additional ones for our staff. I understand the staff has also taken a liking to them. M: That􀆳s great to hear. Adding these robot cats is such a fantastic way to show how libraries can do more than just lend books. You􀆳re not just offering resources. You􀆳re helping build a community that cares about emotional support. (Text 10) Good evening, everyone. I􀆳d like to start by asking: How was your day? Did you encounter any challenge or annoyance? It􀆳s completely natural to have days like that. After a tough day, unloading on your friends can be a relief. Unfortunately, however, complaining can do more harm than good. Obviously, it influences your friends􀆳 moods. It also makes you stressed, which can affect your sleep. But more importantly, every time you complain, your brain creates shortcuts to think more pessimistically. Frequent complaining can hurt the part of your brain that helps with memory and problem-solving. To fix this, there are three strategies you can use to shift from negative to positive thinking. Begin with breathwork. When you catch yourself being negative, take deep, slow breaths to reset your mood and focus. Next, try to shift your perspective by finding positive angles or lessons in challenging situations. Lastly, write down four things you􀆳re thankful for each day. This habit helps you focus on positives, changing your outlook and holding back the urge to complain. With these in mind, now let me share how I􀆳ve applied them to switch to more positive modes of thinking. 英语试卷参考答案与评分细则 第 页 共 页 5 ( 5 )
