In 2019, a group of friends and I took part in an event in India. The event was to raise money
for a charity.About 30 teams attended the event. Each team had a car, which they drove to the east
ofIndia.Thejourneytookeightdays.
We used a website to ask our friends and family for donations. It was really easy to receive
theirdonationsonline.Ourteamraisedaround$4,000,andintotal,theeventraisedaround$17,000.
And of course, the journey itself was lots of fun, too. We drove for about twelve hours every
day, and saw some beautiful things along the way. We even managed to have a game of football
with the local people! It was an experience I will never forget, and hopefully the money we raised
willgosomewaytomakingpeople’slivesbetter.
