语法核心知识

1. 基本概念

动名词(‑ing)作主语：把动词的‑ing形式放在句子开头充当主语，表示一件事情、一个行为动作，谓语动词一般用单数。

例句

Knowing where the ball would go wasn’t easy.

知道球会飞向哪里并不容易。

Shooting with great accuracy was another thing he learnt.

精准投篮是他学会的另一项本领。

2. 两种句式

① ‑ing直接放句首作主语

结构：Doing sth + 谓语(单数) + …

例：Reading English every day helps improve your vocabulary.

每天读英语有助于提升词汇量。

② It 作形式主语

当动名词主语较长，可用 It is/was… doing sth ，it代替真正的主语（doing），把doing后置。

对比：

- Knowing where the ball would go wasn’t easy.（‑ing作主语）

- It wasn’t easy knowing where the ball would go.（it形式主语）

重点：动名词表示已经发生/一般性的行为；不定式to do多表示将要去做的具体动作。

改写句子：用‑ing作主语改写句子

1.She got tangled up with some other competitors. It made her fall.

→ Getting tangled up with some other competitors made her fall.

和其他选手纠缠在一起让她摔倒。

2.She tried to pull the shoe back on, but it cost her precious time.

→ Trying to pull the shoe back on cost her precious time.

试图把鞋子重新穿好耗费了她宝贵的时间。

3.She threw the shoe away. This meant she could get up quickly and fight for her position in the race.

→ Throwing the shoe away meant she could get up quickly and fight for her position in the race.

扔掉鞋子意味着她可以迅速起身，奋力争取自己的比赛名次。

4.She lost a shoe. But it didn’t keep her from taking part.

→ Losing a shoe didn’t keep her from taking part.

丢失一只鞋子并没有阻止她参赛。

语法小结：‑ing作主语，谓语动词用单数；原句的谓语过去式，改写之后主句谓语仍然保持过去时态。
