The Solo AI Boom in China

𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝟯 new companies registered in China is now a "one-person company": an AI-native business of 10 people or fewer.

AI writes the code, designs the product and does the admin. 𝟭𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 of these businesses already exist, registrations jumped 𝟰𝟳% in a single year, and 𝟳 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟬 founders have no technical background at all.

Now the reality check. 𝟱𝟮.𝟰% of these founders earn under ¥𝟳,𝟬𝟬𝟬 (~$𝟵𝟳𝟬) a month, and fewer than 𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟬 startups survive. One founder watched a rival clone his product in 𝟯 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀.

When everyone has the same AI, the edge isn't the tech. It's knowing a market deeply enough that AI can't replace you.
