第二节(满分25分)
One possible version:
五
I knew I had to do something to save us. I moved a bit to see if I could unpin myself from
behind the wheel but ended up crying out in pain from my leg. I grabbed my cell phone and dialed
911, but I couldn’t get a signal at the bottom of this valley. Then, I caught sig九ht of Honey. “At least
I could save her”, I thought to myself. Painfully, I reached over, picked her up and gently put her
through the hole in the window and gave her a pat. “Go home, baby.” She jumped to the ground and
raced up the side of the valley.
As I watched Honey fade out of my view, my thoughts started to wander off. Had Honey found
her way home? Would she get help for me like what happened in the movies? With time ticking by,
my pulse was weakening. I was about to lose consciousness when I heard Honey barking and I saw
a man walking towards me. He told me that he was the forest ranger here. It turned out that Honey
made it to his house, ran in circles to grab his attention and successfully led him where I was. I was
finally rescued. What a blessing to have Honey join in our family!附:听力原材料
(Text 1)
W: That’s a good picture of you.
M: Yes, I look quite slim.
W: The beach looks fantastic.
M: Yes, and we also had a great time in the mountains and we stayed in a really nice hotel. We’ll
probably g考o back there next year.
(Text 2)
M: That was a great landing.
联
W: Yes, I won’t be afraid of flying next time.
M: That’s good because I’m not keen on going on that ship you mentioned. And there’s a four-hour
五train journey to get to the port.
(Text 3)
M: I hope the weather’s good for our trip this weekend.
九
W: There’s some rainy weather forecast for tomorrow, but it should brighten up again by Saturday.
考
M: Good. It’d be a shame if it stayed cloudy.
(Text 4)
M: I’m really late for my dentist appointm联ent and I need to go to the bank.
W: You’ll have time to go to the bank afterwards.
M: Yes, but I also need to pick up my suit from the dry cleaner’s.
五
W: Don’t worry! I’ll get that for you.
(Text 5)
W: I still don’t see why 九you attended that lecture. It was irrelevant to your field of study. You
probably had no idea what the lecturer was talking about.
M: You’re wrong. I caught on very quickly. Professor Brighton was very good at putting his ideas
across.
(Text 6) 考
M: Are you sure you’re ready to go back to work?
W: Yes, Eddie is 18 months old now. It’s time.
联
M: OK. Let’s look at some nurseries, then.
W: I’ve already found a few. This one is just a small place.
M: That’s good. There will be fewer strangers for Eddie to get used to. 五
W: Here are the details.
M: Hmm. The nursery looks nice. We’ll have to look at our financial situation.
九
W: I agree, but I’d like to take Eddie there if we can.
(Text 7)
W: You say the reservation was for today and it was for a non-smoking double room with an Internet
connection, Mr. Smith? How was that made, by telephone?
M: My secretary booked it online. She received the reservation number by email. Are you sure you
can’t find it? A single room would do, if necessary.
W: This happens now and then with Internet reservations. However, we will upgrade you to a family
room at no extra charge, but that will have only wireless Internet, not a normal wired connection.
M: Well, my laptop doesn’t have wireless, but I’m sure I could buy an adapter somewhere nearby.(Text 8)
W: Hello, how may I help you?
M: Well, I’ve been seeing these yellow boxes in front of houses in my neighborhood. I just wondered
what they were for. I noticed your phone number on all of them, so I called. Do you send packages?
W: No, sir. We do recycling, but we’re not a business. Gaea’s Guardians is a non-profit group. We
encourage recycling as a way of protecting the environment.
M: I don’t kn考ow. I mean it is a good idea. But I really don’t read the newspaper every day or anything.
W: We don’t come collect newspapers every day! In fact, we only do pickups every other week.
M: Oh, well then maybe I could help. I mean in my neighborhood, there’s too much rubbish lying
联
around everywhere. I’d like to help out.
(Text 9)
五M: I’m sure you know this is just a volunteer position.
W: Yes, I am aware of that.
M: According to your application, I see that you have skills related to photography, storytelling, and
九
typing. Is that right?
考
W: Yes. At Da-an Library, I sometimes read stories to children.
M: Well, here at the Public Library we need a photographer more than a storyteller. What kind of
photography did you do? 联
W: I took pictures for library events and also photographed some of the library’s local art collection
for the website.
五
M: OK, I’ll fill that in. Are you comfortable with photography and storytelling being your main
tasks?
W: Actually, I was hoping九 I could work at the information desk. I like answering people’s questions.
M: We can certainly try to arrange that. Now, as for your work schedule, I see you’re available
during evenings on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
W: Yes, that’s right.
M: It also says you can work mornings on the weekends. Is that right? 考
W: Actually, I have to change that part. I found out I can’t work Saturday mornings anymore.
M: OK, I’ll erase that. Sunday mornings are still good, though?
联
W: Yes, they’re fine.
M: Do you have any questions for me?
W: Yes. Can you send my school a certificate of the hours I work? I need to p五rove that I’m
volunteering.
M: Sure, we can do that.

(Text 10)
M: Hello, and welcome back to AMC News. I’m Marc Dupris. Tonight, I’m in Barcelona, Spain, a
city famous for its buildings, art, food, and culture. But has Barcelona become too famous?
In recent years, the number of visitors to this city on the coast has increased rapidly — too rapidly.
More than 20 million tourists visit every year, but there are only 1.6 million locals. Even with a
smaller number, that would be bad for the city’s services.
The effect of this tourism can be seen everywhere. Take Boqueria Food Market, for example. It
used to sell fish, meat, and vegetables. Now, though, it has been taken over by tourist restaurants.
Barceloneta is even worse. The city’s famous beach, which was opened in 1992 as a public space,is so crowded that you can’t even sit down.
Twenty years ago, this city was one of the coolest places in Europe and known for its fashion and
design. In my eyes, that image has been destroyed.
