W: Oh, she loves it. She􀆳s really excited about working there. In fact, she even works on weekends because she enjoys being there so much. Text 2 M: Hello. Can I speak to Roberta, please? W: I􀆳m sorry, but she􀆳s in a meeting. Can I give her a message? M: Yes. This is Evan Martin. Please ask her to call me back. I􀆳m at work. Text 3 W: I like talking to David. He􀆳s quite knowledgeable and always has something interesting to say. M: Yeah, I know. And he􀆳s really serious about studying, too. He wants to go to medical school, so his grades have to be perfect. Text 4 W: I saw a fantastic programme on TV last night. It was about Brunel. Did you see it? M: No. Who􀆳s Brunel? Isn􀆳t he that boxer? W: Not that one. Brunel was an engineer. He built lots of famous bridges. Text 5 M: Did you go to that new restaurant last night? W: Yeah, but I wouldn􀆳t recommend it. M: Why not? W: Well, our soup was cold and the fish was burnt. So I asked the waiter to change the fish, but I had to wait ten minutes for a new one, and by then my husband􀆳s meal had got cold. Text 6 M: Emma, it􀆳s my mom􀆳s birthday tomorrow. What can I buy? I have no idea! W: That􀆳s easy, Marco! Don􀆳t buy a gift. Make her something. She􀆳ll love it because you􀆳ve spent time. M: That􀆳s a great idea. So, what can I make for her? W: Well, how about making some chocolate-covered strawberries? They􀆳re tasty. M: Oh, perfect. My mom loves strawberries. What do I need to make them? 高一英语录音稿 第 页 共 页 1 ( 3 ) (2026.2)W: You only need chocolate, milk, and strawberries. Look, call me later and I􀆳ll come to help, OK? M: Thanks, Emma! My mom will be happy! Text 7 M: Hey, Marcia. Do you like my treasure map? W: It􀆳s great, Jim. How did you make it? M: It was really easy! First, I made some tea. Then when the tea was cold, I put some paper in it for an hour. W: Wow, that􀆳s so clever. Is that why it looks brown? M: Yes, that􀆳s right. The brown comes from the tea. When the paper was dry, I drew a map of an island on it. Then I wrote a big X where the treasure is buried. After that, I wrote some clues. Then I drew a line from one clue to the next. W: Amazing. How did you make it look so real? M: Oh, it was easy to do that part. I cut the paper, so it would look older. Would you like to try it? W: Yes, please! I want to find some treasure! Text 8 M: Good morning. On the show today we􀆳re talking about breakfast foods. With me is Amy Haversham, who has written an article about breakfasts around the world. Amy, welcome. W: Thanks James. It􀆳s my pleasure. M: Tell us, what do you usually have for breakfast? W: Well, I usually begin with a glass of fruit juice and then I have bread and butter, or perhaps some fresh fruit. M: Right. I􀆳ve just read your article. I didn􀆳t know that people eat such different things for breakfast! W: Yes. In some countries breakfast is quite sweet. For example, in France, people eat bread and chocolate. M: Sounds interesting. W: And in Japan, it􀆳s often soup for breakfast, but in the UK we have soup for lunch or dinner. Text 9 W: How􀆳s your English class going, Professor Smith? M: Oh, not so well. I really like my students, but they􀆳re very quiet. And it􀆳s a conversation class. I􀆳m just not sure how to get them to talk. W: Well, what do you think the problem is? 高一英语录音稿 第 页 共 页 2 ( 3 ) (2026.2)M: I􀆳m not sure. It􀆳s a morning class, so maybe the students are sleepy. W: Hmm. What countries are your students from? M: A lot of different countries, actually. W: I think it may be cultural differences. In many cultures, people aren􀆳t used to giving their opinions so directly. It􀆳s just not their communication style. M: Oh, I never thought about that. What should I do then? We can􀆳t just have a silent conversation class. W: Why don􀆳t you talk about different communication styles in class? You could talk about how English speakers in your culture express their opinions, and the students can share communication styles from their cultures. M: That could be really interesting. Thanks for the suggestion. Text 10 Many people think extreme sports are new, but are they really? In fact, some sports have existed for a long time but have only become famous recently. For example, the Hawaiian people used to surf in ancient times. Their boards were made of wood. Although they invented surfing, it didn􀆳t become a well-known sport until the 1970s. Similarly, the popular extreme sport “free running”has existed for centuries in Africa, but it wasn􀆳t officially named until recently. In addition, some extreme sports that we consider new are simply a mix of two older sports. For example, surfing and kite flying are ancient activities. However, when surfers began to use kites, another extreme sport was born: kite surfing. Humans have been doing extreme sports for centuries, and we will continue. New technology and equipment will help us go higher, faster, deeper, and farther. We will create more ideas. Why do people do extreme sports? Humans love a challenge! 高一英语录音稿 第 页 共 页 3 ( 3 ) (2026.2)
