Before we rehabilitate an underground asset, how well do we understand its condition?

My work in trenchless technology and underground engineering has shown me how much project decisions depend on sound information about
the asset and its surroundings.

Emerging sensors, drones, robotics and AI may help us gather and use that
information more effectively. Their value needs to be demonstrated in real
applications.
