Dear Jack,
Im Li Hua. Im writing to tell you that there will be a lecture on Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM) this Friday at 3 pm in the school hall, which I think you will be interested in since
you always show a great passion for Chinese culture.
The lecture, covering the history of TCM and how it works, will also introduce some common
TCM treatments. It is a good opportunity for you to gain a better understanding of this unique part of
Chinese culture.
I sincerely hope you can make it. Im sure you will find it both interesting and rewarding.
Yours,

参考范文:
Eric and Akikos friendship grew stronger while learning from each other. They continued to
help each other with language learning. In English class, Eric would explain grammar rules to Akiko
as simply as he could, using gestures and examples. Akiko would listen intently, her eyes filled with
gratitude. And in turn, during breaks, Akiko taught Eric more Japanese phrases, not just words for
objects but also common greetings and expressions. They even started to create their own little
language—a mix of English and Japanese words that only they understood. Their classmateswatched in amusement, and some of them began to show interest in learning a few Japanese words
as well.
Their unique communicating way led to a special presentation in class five months later. One
day, Ms Sloane decided to hold a special presentation in class. She asked Eric and Akiko to share
their experience of learning from each other. Nervously at first, the two stood at the front of the
classroom. But as Eric started to talk about how Akiko had helped him with math, and Akiko showed
the class some Japanese characters and explained their meanings, their confidence grew. The whole
class was fascinated. After the presentation, more students started to pair up, trying to learn from
each other, just like Eric and Akiko. Their friendship had inspired the whole class to embrace
differences and learn from one another.
