怎么用这篇文章带孩子精读

每次选一小段，重点练一个能力。家长主要负责追问和示范，答案让孩子回原文找。

提问按三层推进：先问“发生了什么”，再问“为什么会这样”，最后问“你怎么看”。孩子卡住时退回上一层，把问题拆小。每周练三四次，每次十几分钟即可。下面这篇文章就是按这个流程设计的。

正文 | The Class Garden（我们的班级菜园）

Last spring, Miss Li's class started a small garden behind the school. Every student planted something. Ben planted tomatoes. Lucy planted sunflowers. Leo planted carrots, but he forgot to water them.

Two weeks later, the sunflowers grew tall and green, but Leo's carrot leaves turned yellow. Leo felt sad. "I'm not good at growing things," he said. He wanted to give up.

His friend Ben heard him. "Don't worry," Ben said. "Let me help you. We can water the carrots together." From then on, every morning before class, the two boys watered the carrots and talked about their favourite games.

One month later, Leo pulled a small carrot out of the soil. It wasn't big, but it was orange and sweet. Miss Li smiled and said, "A good friend is like sunshine. Things grow better with help."

Leo gave his first carrot to Ben. "This is the sweetest carrot in the world," he said, "because we grew it together."

生词注释

先让孩子通读时圈出这几个词，再对照下表核对：

小任务：把 water 是“水”也是“浇水”、plant 是“植物”也是“种”这两个一词多义讲给孩子听，这是考试常见考点。

重点句型讲解

① He wanted to give up. —— want to do sth.，表示“想要做某事”。让孩子仿写：I want to learn swimming.（我想学游泳。）

② Let me help you. —— let sb. do sth.，let 后面的动词用原形，不加 to。对比记忆：Let us go! = Let's go!

③ The carrot leaves turned yellow. —— turn + 颜色，表示“变得……”。类似用法：The leaves turn green in spring.（春天树叶变绿。）

④ This is the sweetest carrot in the world. —— the + 最高级 + in/of 短语，表示“最……的”。范围用 in 还是 of：in the world / in the class 用 in，of the three 用 of。

⑤ A good friend is like sunshine. —— like 在这是介词，“像……一样”。这个比喻句值得让孩子背下来，写作文直接能用。

第1—3题对应“发生了什么”，第4题对应“为什么会这样”，第5题对应“你怎么看”。

参考答案与讲解

第1题：C（原文：Leo planted carrots）。

第2题：叶子变黄了。因为他忘了浇水（he forgot to water them）。

第3题：他的朋友 Ben。两个男孩每天早上课前一起浇水。

第4题：因为这根胡萝卜是他和 Ben 一起种出来的（because we grew it together），里面有心血和友谊。

第5题：开放题，没有标准答案。参考思路：朋友帮忙就像阳光一样，能让事情做得更好。能联系一件真实小事即可。

精读不是刷题，别急着对答案。孩子能用自己的话把故事讲顺、能把“为什么”讲清楚，这一篇就算读透了。
