Huntier Visits UKM and UPM
Inviting Students to Join the MAIC Challenge
Huntier AI, in collaboration with MAIC Nexus, visited UKM and UPM, bringing students an inspiring campus roadshow focused on AI trends, entrepreneurial practices, and future career development.
During the event, Eugene Chua, Chairman of G-COVE Group and Founder of Huntier, shared his personal entrepreneurial journey and introduced his “R.I.C.E.” business philosophy. He also presented the evolution of Huntier AI—from a talent platform into an AI technology company.
With the MAIC Competition officially underway, the Huntier team extended an invitation to more young innovators, encouraging them to use their AI-driven ideas to take on the challenges of the future.
AI Campus Tour
Recently, the Huntier AI team, in collaboration with MAIC Nexus, visited the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), bringing an exciting campus roadshow that inspired students with discussions on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and future career development.
Entrepreneurial Tips
A major highlight of the event was a special sharing session by Eugene Chua, Chairman of G-COVE Group and Founder of Huntier. Recognized as the recipient of Malaysia’s 2024 Environmental Entrepreneurship Pioneer Award, presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Chua shared his personal journey from an ordinary engineer to a cross-border technology entrepreneur.
During the session, he provided students with an exclusive and in-depth look into his long-standing “R.I.C.E.” business philosophy, offering practical insights and strategies for aspiring young entrepreneurs looking to turn innovative ideas into successful ventures.

Brand Evolution
The event also featured a presentation on Huntier’s evolution—from its origins as a platform dedicated to connecting and empowering Malaysian youth talent, to its current transformation into Huntier AI, a global talent search and workflow automation platform. As Eugene noted, “Malaysia needs more dynamic young teams like Huntier that can transform bold ideas into impactful businesses capable of competing on the global stage.”
Following the sharing session, Huntier introduced the upcoming Malaysia AI Conference & Challenge (MAIC Nexus), a national platform designed to encourage innovation and showcase emerging AI talent.
MAIC Officially Launches
With these 2 roadshows as a start, the MAIC journey is only just beginning. Registration and project submissions will be open from June to July, followed by an online preliminary evaluation from August to September. The competition will then move into the Semi-Final Demo Day in October, before culminating in a prestigious Grand Finale and Awards Ceremony in November.
The competition seeks to bring together more than 300 top teams from across the country, creating an exciting platform for students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to demonstrate how AI can drive meaningful change.
