What success means to me
The other day, at the graduation ceremony, I was greatly struck by a graduate's speech. which made me reflect
on the real meaning of success I used to assume success was about achieving wealth, fame, high scores or a big
dream Now I realize that success means growing into a better self. Each small step forward, whether it's learning a
new skill or overcoming the fear of public speaking, is a mark of success
So I'll cherish every small victory and keep moving on the road to success.(88)

Suddenly, I heard a wild cry from outside, “0o0o -0o -owo -owooooo!" What a familiar cry! I shouted out,
“Maheegun!" with all my strength. Just as I hoped, it was he! Maheegun jumped on me before I opened the door of
the shelter. He circled around, squeaking low as if celebrating seeing me again, Obviously he still remembered me
and loved me. I stroked his fur gently and whispered, “Maheegun, can you go and fetch Grandpa? I need help!" He
seemed to understand, nodding slightly before turning and disappearing into the big flakes ofsnow. (83)
After what seemed a long time, I spotted Maheegun again, this time Grandpa following behind, Seeing me safe and
sound, Grandpa breathed a sigh of relief, Patting Maheegun on the head he said, “You've got a loyal friend. He
didn't hesitate for a second and led me straight to your 'rescue. “I hugged Maheegun tightly, tears welling up in my
eyes. The storm finally stopped and the sun cast a golden glow on the snow. l knew it was time for us to say
goodbye again, but however far apart we were, the love between Maheegun and me would last forever(86)
