In this course, you will get to know the history and various types of Chinese opera. Moreover, it will introduce the music in opera, which is usually accompanied by traditional Chinese instruments like erhu. The most attractive part is the fancy costumes and makeup. In a word, the course is a good chance for you to deepen your understanding of Chinese traditional culture. I do hope my recommendation can be of help. Yours , 续写 Li Hua Paragraph 1 I finally made a decision and called my parents into my bedroom. When my parents saw what I had found in the drawer they were wide-eyed and speechless! Then, they read the papers carefully and were moved to tears. When they asked, “What should we do?” I said, “Let’s take it back to the store and find her family.” My father nodded with a smile on his face and my mother hugged me warmly, saying “You are my pride, dear.” I felt very happy because I already knew right from wrong. We collected all the money and papers at once, putting them in the drawer. We rushed to the charity shop with the drawer in the hope to find the owner as soon as possible. Paragraph2 Though surprised the shop owner helped find the family’s telephone number. Within a few minutes, the family all came over. When I showed them what I had found in the drawer, they couldn’t believe their eyes. The parents had tears in their eyes. They were still sad about the lady’s death and the father had just lost his job. It was easy to see that my act of honesty gave them hope. They showed me sincere gratitude from the bottom of their hearts. In fact, I had never felt better before. No new bicycle could have made me felt as good about myself as I felt that day because I passed a very important test—a lost and found test of my own character.听力文本 Text 1 W:Karl, where did you place my bike?I can't find it. M:Oh,I put it under a street lamp, the one beside our backyard. Text 2 W:Oh,sorry. I must have the wrong room. M:Which room do you want? W:The Committee Room. I thought it was here on the third floor. M:It's on the fourth floor and, anyway, you are lost, this is the second floor. Text 3 W:The article in this morning's paper made me angry! M:I felt the same way when I first read it,but the more I thought about it,the more I agreed with it. It's an excellent article. Text 4 W:Welcome. What kind of book would you like? M:Something about history. W:They're over there. All the books are on sale this week. Text 5 W:Hello.English Language Center. M:Hello,Sarah. This is Jacob. I have a bad cold. Could I take today off?I think I'll be ready for tomorrow. W:Sure. We'll see if we can get another teacher to cover your classes. Text 6 W: Did you watch the programme about the giraffe yesterday? M: No. I went to a concert with my cousin. W: I think you'd have enjoyed it. It was amazing to see how quickly they grew. It's also amazing how close people can get and how the cameramen film their behaviour without frightening them. Sometimes the cameramen had to hide up in a tree for hours to get the pictures they want! Not everybody can do this. Text 7 M: Hello, Mary. W: Oh, hello, Mike. I'm looking for a suitable library to review my lessons. M:I often go to the National Library. It is suitable for us students. It is quiet in the reading rooms. You can also use some materials for free if you have a card. And the card is $100 a year. W:How about the opening hours? M: 8 am to 10 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 9 pm on weekends. W: Oh, good. I think it's a suitable place for studying. Text 8W: Hi! What do you plan to do for your holiday? M:I plan to see my family in Miami, Florida. You know, Miami is the perfect place to be on holiday. My parents moved there just for this reason. They bought a house to settle down. Every evening they take a pleasant walk along the beach. W: It's great to live in Miami. I've dreamed a thousand times that I could lie down on Miami beach. M: Mum and Dad called me saying that they had an indoor swimming pool, and I would be welcomed home swimming. W: Why didn't your parents build an outdoor swimming pool? M:It's not always nice and sunny in Miami, sometimes cloudy and rainy. We may swim in the indoor swimming pool no matter what's going on outside. Text 9 W: Could you help me please? I'm looking for something for my husband's birthday next week and I just can't seem to think of anything to buy. M: Certainly, madam. You don't have anything special in mind? W: Right. I just don't know ... M: How about a coat? We have some nice coats that just arrived from Italy. W:Not a coat. I gave him one last Christmas. M: Then how about a tie? We have some nice silk ties. W:He dislikes ties. He was not very happy when I gave him a tie for his last birthday. M: Then how about a wallet? We have some handsome wallets designed especially for men by famous designers. And we also have some shirts, sweaters and trousers of high quality. W:The wallet sounds nice. I hope my husband will like it. It is so hard to find a gift that satisfies him.
