现在进行时的用法
表示说话时正在进行或发生的动作 I’m babysitting my younger brother.
It’s raining outside.
表示现阶段一直在进行或不断重复的动作，但 He’s watching an interesting TV play these
说话时该动作并不一定在进行 days.
Are you teaching English in a school?
表示即将发生的动作，适用于这种情况的动词 I’m going home in half an hour.
主要有：go, come, leave, start, arrive等 The train is arriving soon.
现在进行时和always，usually，all the time等 She’s always helping others.
连用时，表示一种经常、反复的动作，且说话 You are always talking in class.
人往往带有某种感情色彩(如赞扬、厌烦等)
过去进行时的用法
1. 表示过去某一时刻正在发生的动作 They were watching TV at ten o’clock last
night.
2. 表示过去某一段时间内一直在做的动作 He was doing his homework between 8:00 and
9:00 on Sunday morning.
3. 可描述故事发生的背景：一个长动作发 When my mother came back, I was watching
生的时候，另一个短动作突然发生。长动 TV.
作(延续性动词)用过去进行时，短动作(点 When/while I was watching TV, my mother
动词)用一般过去时 came back.
4. 可表示两个动作同时进行 While I was watching TV, my mother was

5. 与always，forever等连用，表示厌恶、 My father was always smoking when he was

leave, start, take off等表示位移的动词 or two.
