•词汇全是中考高频:spent / challenging / confidence / whether / completely / provide

•He began training at the age of…

•He spent hours practicing every day.

•His success lies in two things.

•He wants to share Chinese culture with the world.

Li Yongqiu is a 13-year-old student from Chongqing. He recently caught public attention by winning a gold medal in the junior division at the Juste Debout 2026 World Finals in March. This made him the third Chinese dancer to receive this title(头衔).

Li began training in breaking at the age of 8. He spent several hours practising dancing every day, and his clothes always got wet with sweat.

Street dance has become a bridge connecting China with the world. It also provides a modern way for young Chinese people to tell their stories and express themselves.

5. What does Li hope to do in the future?

1. He is 13 years old.

2. He started to learn breaking at the age of 8.

3. He mixed street dance moves with Chinese martial arts.

4. One is that he wanted to bring honour to his country. The other is his strong explosive power.

5. He hopes to perform on a bigger stage one day.

My Role Model

Li Yongqiu is a 13-year-old student from Chongqing. He is my role model.

He began to learn breaking at the age of 8. He spent lots of time practising every day, even when he was tired. His hard work finally paid off. He won a gold medal in the world dance competition and became the third Chinese teenager to get such great honor.

He mixes street dance with Chinese martial arts and wants to share Chinese culture with the world. His courage and perseverance inspire me a lot.

I will learn from him, keep working hard and never give up when I meet difficulties.
