Dear Peter,

Knowing your deep interest in Chinese calligraphy, I’m excited to invite you to our school’s calligraphy exhibition. It will be a visual feast for you to experience this traditional art.

The exhibition will be held in the school hall from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. next Thursday. There will be a variety of activities. First, you can try writing Chinese characters with a writing brush under the guidance of student volunteers. Besides, a famous calligrapher will deliver a speech on the history and basic skills of calligraphy, which will surely deepen your understanding of this classical art. Additionally, you can enjoy many excellent works created by both teachers and students.

How are you these days? I heard that you’re interested in Chinese calligraphy, so I’m writing to invite you to our school’s calligraphy exhibition.
