Dear Ryan,
Having heard that you are interested in the grand military parade held in
Beijing on September 3rd, I am writing to tell you the relevant information.
With the purpose of commemorating a significant historical anniversary, the
event showcased a wide range of activities from the performance of disciplined
soldiers to the show of advanced military equipment, which is far more than a
display of military might.
Watching this ceremony fills me with immense national pride. It strengthens my
belief in peace and reminds me of our collective responsibility to contribute to a better
tomorrow. It is a truly inspiring and unforgettable event.

Looking back again,through the rearview mirror(后视镜), I finally saw it—the

into my throat, not from fear now, but from overwhelming surprise and confusion. I
immediately slowed down, pulled over to the curb and got out of the car.The biker
pulled up right beside me,killed the engine and handed me my purse, explaining in a
friendly tone that it had slipped out when I was helping his grandma. I thanked him
repeatedly, feeling deeply moved by their kindness."There's a note from my grandma
in the purse. You can open it and have a look.”
Seeing the note in the purse, emotional tears welled up in my eyes. It read:
"Thank you for your kindness, child. You reminded this old lady there’s still good in
the world.Please accept the little bit of cash inside for your trouble. God bless
you.”My fingers trembled as I found the folded bills tucked neatly beside the note. I
looked from the note to the guy’s earnest, smiling face,which I had mistaken for a
threat.That day, the lady’s gratitude and the young man’s warmth had taught a lesson
about trust and compassion. Sometimes, the world feels darker not because of its
dangers, but because of the walls we build between ourselves and others.
