Big Ben is one of the most famous places of interest in London. It is located on River Thames and is 161
years old. The big clock is named after its designer Benjamin. It strikes every fifteen minutes. Over the past years,
it has kept working hard. But on the New Year’s Eve in 1962, the snow was so heavy that Big Ben stopped going
for ten minutes. As a result, people welcomed the New Year ten minutes late. And on one night in 2005, the clock
stopped working for one hour because of the hot weather.
