Knownforitsflexibilityandslowreleasecapabilities,silkproteinwascombinedwithgum
arabic—anaturalpolymer(聚合物)fromtrees—toformtinystablecapsules.Bycontinuously
stirringthemixtureatwarmtemperatures,researcherssuccessfullyaddedlavenderoilintothese
capsules.Adjustingtheoilconcentrationallowedthemtocreatesampleswith5% to15%
