Nowadays, we’re looking for some online teaching software like Kahoot!, Quizizz and so on.
So let us know about the online teaching apps below.
Kahoot!
Teachers may use Kahoot! to make their online classes more lively and engaging. Kahoot! is
a tool that assists teachers in creating teaching games. To build an immediately playable game,
teachers simply need to prepare a set of questions and enter the prepared questions and answers
into the web. This will break up the boredom. The Kahoot! app must be down-loaded and used as
a buzzer by students.
Quizizz
This is a fantastic education app that will benefit both teachers and students. Interactive
quizzes can be created by teachers and handed out to students. The teacher has a clear visual of the
students’ performance to decide which areas might need the most focus in the future.
Zoom
Zoom is primarily used for video conferencing. For conducting their classes, teachers will
reach out to a large number of students using Zoom. It’s a forum (公共讨论场所) for engaging
with students and taking courses, but it doesn’t have a learning management system. Teachers
can’t track and record students’ homework.
Socrative
Socrative is a learning evaluation tool and an instructional app. It aids in the
simplification(简化) of grades and reports. This program allows for interaction between teachersand students and monitors student participation with engaging tests and evaluations.
21. Which app can help teachers design teaching games?
A. Kahoot!. B. Quizizz. C. Zoom. D. Socrative.
22. What is the disadvantage of Zoom?

B. It doesn’t limit the number of meetings.
C. It doesn’t allow students to discuss problems openly.
D. Teachers can’t use it to monitor students’ homework.
23. On which part of a website can you most possibly read the text?
A. Culture. B. Education. C. Sports. D. Science.

I applied to be a first-grade teacher’s assistant. The job paid the lowest wage, and I could
hardly afford to pay my rent. I had no desire to go into education, so I didn’t know why I was
attracted to this position. Working with children was not my motivation at that time. But later I
found that it was all I wanted to do.
There was a student, Ashley, in my class who was very creative and interested in writing. I
helped Ashley write her first short story. Ashley and her mother Shirin walked into our classroom
every morning. Shirin often volunteered to work in our classroom and would always give me a
hug. She asked me questions about her daughter and my writing. At that time, I was working on a
new romantic comedy script, and Shirin gave positive comments when I told her the plot.“I can’t
wait to see this in the theater!” My confidence increased. I would also exchange some ideas with
her. We became very good friends. Shirin also showered me with gifts. For holidays or my
birthday, she’d get me some nice gifts. She was always finding ways to wrap me in love and
encouragement.
I had worked as a teacher’s assistant for three years. Then I decided to start teaching cre-ative
writing. Shirin and I had stayed close, and she kept encouraging me. I was forever grateful that I
became a teacher’s assistant and met Shirin. She appeared in my life at just the right time.

A. Responsible. B. Kind. C. Ambitious D. Humorous.
27. What does the author want to convey by telling the story?
A. Ups and downs make one strong.

Imagine living in a modern city. On any given morning, you might expect to look
out your window and see a stream of cars and people on their way to work, In recent
days, however, residents in Kunming, China-a city of some 6 million people-were
preparing themselves for a more-unusual sighting: a herd(群) of wild elephants.
Since March 2020, a group of 15 elephants has traveled more than 300 miles within
Yunnan Province in China. They reportedly came within two miles of Kunming before
turning around a few days ago. No one knows the reason why they left their home in
Xishuangbanna Nature Reserve, but this long journey has brought much-needed publicattention to the challenge facing Asian elephants.
Asian elephants range across 13 countries in South and Southeast Asia. And, sadly,
they are endangered, with fewer than 50,000 let in the wild. And yet they are
underrepresented on the global stage when their conservation needs are so urgent.
Living on the most thickly populated continent on the planet means that space is
rare. It also means that habitat loss is the most significant threat facing Asian elephants.
While illegal hunting also threatens these populations, human-elephant conflict resulting
from habitat loss is a leading cause of elephant death in Asia. Elephants have significant
space and resource needs and have been known to travel many miles a day in search of
food and water. Today, on average, 70% of the Asian elephant population is found outside
protected areas. This means they often travel through human-dominated landscapes and
come into regular contact with people.
These interactions, or human-elephant conflicts, can result in crop and property
damage. Most recently, the damage along the movement path of the elephant herd in
China has amounted to losses of an estimated $1.1 million. While these animals have
been closely watched and protected by local authorities who have been successful to date
at preventing injury or death to either people or the elephant herd, human-elephant conflict
can result in human death and injury and cause retaliatory(报复性的) action that further
reduces wild elephant populations.
28.What do we know about the 15 elephants?
A. They attacked residents in Kunming.
B. They draw public attention to their problem.
C. They prefer a modern city to a nature reserve.
D. They traveled more than 300 miles within Kunming.
29.What is a major cause of the extinction of Asian elephants?
A. Illegal hunting. B. Loss of habitat.
C. Lack of protected areas. D. Ignored conservation needs
30. What have the local authorities been trying to do according to the last paragraph?
A. Avoid human-elephant conflicts.
B. Move the elephants to another region.
C. Predict the results of human-elephant conflicts.
D. Make up for the losses caused by the elephants
31. Which of the following is the best title for the text?
A. Asian Elephants: An Endangered Species Rescued
B. Urban Adventures of Elephants: A Taste of the City Life
C. Wandering Elephants: A Conservation Challenge in Asia
D. Elephant Sightings in Kunming: A City's Unusual Morning

Kids everywhere love to play. And they know that a ball is a perfect thing to play with. Now
scientists report bumblebees (大黄蜂) seem to know the same thing, making bumblebees the first
insects(昆虫) known to play.
Lots of animals play. But the behavior is best known in mammals (哺乳动物) and birds. For
many animals, playing is often seen as a kind of practice for things they’ll have to deal with in
later life. But before this, there were no reports of insects playing.
Dr. Lars Chittka did an earlier experiment, where he trained bumblebees to roll balls into a
goal for food. He noticed some bees were rolling balls even when they weren’t rewarded. He
wondered whether they were playing for rewards or not.
To test the idea, he with other scientists set up a new experiment. First, they marked 45 young
bumblebees, both male and female, between one and 23 days old. Then they set up a clear
pathway from the bumblebees’ nest to a feeding area. On either side of the open pathway, smallcolored wooden balls were placed. On one side of the path, the balls couldn’t move. On the other
side, the balls could roll around.
For three hours a day over 14 days, the scientists opened the pathway. The bumblebees never
had to leave the pathway to find food, but they left anyway. They weren’t so interested in the side
where the balls couldn’t move, but they made lots of visits to the side with the rolling balls.
Grabbing the balls with their legs, the bumblebees would beat their wings to pull on the balls,
causing them to roll. The 45 marked bumblebees did this 910 times during the experiment.
Though some only did it once, others did it a lot. The scientists found the younger bumblebees
spent more time rolling balls, and that males seemed more likely to play than females.
The scientists say it’s not clear why the bumblebees roll the balls or whether they enjoy it.
But the experiment raises important questions about how the insects’ minds work and whether
they have feelings.
32. What is the common view about animals’ playing behavior?
A. A form of training. B. A form of fight. A form of labor. D. A form of performance.
33. Why did Dr. Lars Chittka conduct the new experiment?
A. To train bumblebees to play with balls.
B. To figure out bumblebees’ feeding style.
C. To observe how bees interact with different objects.
D. To explore if bumblebees play without a reward.
34. What did the scientists find during the experiment?
A. Bumblebees only played with balls when food was involved.
B. Female bumblebees were more interested in playing than males.
C. Bumblebees preferred balls that could roll to those that couldn’t.
D. Older bumblebees spent more time rolling balls than younger ones.
35. What is the main idea of the text?
A. The purpose of insects playing is to prepare for life.
B. Dr. Lars Chittka discovered a new way to train bees.
C. Playing is common among mammals and birds.
D. Bumblebees are the first insects known to play.

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Adam Golebiewski, a 17-year-old teenage footballer on his school’s team, was extremely
passionate about sports. Every match was a stage where he danced with the ball. However, fate(命运) had a cruel twist in store for this young athlete.
One evening, as the sun painted the sky with golden light, Adam was making his way home
after a thrilling victory, his mind still recalling the cheers of the crowd. It was on this seemingly
ordinary road that a tragic accident occurred, forever changing his life. A collision (碰撞), swift
and unexpected, resulted in the loss of his legs below the knees. The world he had known seemed
to collapse around him.
Days turned into weeks, and Adam found himself trapped in a cocoon of despair(绝望). The
once familiar scent (气味) of freshly cut grass and the thrill of the game were replaced by the
smell of hospital rooms and the bitter taste of loss. It was during these darkest moments that the
light of hope glowed, thanks to the support of his teachers, coach, and classmates. They stood by
him, their words of encouragement bringing comfort to him, reminding him that his spirit and his
passion remained uninjured.
With time, Adam slowly recovered from his despair. He realized that while his body had been
changed, his deep love for sports remained the same as ever. Fueled by this realization, he began a
new journey of rehabilitation training (康复训练), a path lined with challenges. Each day, he
pushed himself to the limits, bearing the pain with his strong will. Day by day, he persisted in
training, and his health gradually recovered and his body became as strong as before. He was
convinced that he could still become a basketball player.
