Koalas are often called koala bears, but they are not bears. They have small eyes, a big nose and round ears.
And they have no tails. They can run as fast as a rabbit. They can also climb trees very well.
Koalas live in eucalyptus trees (桉树) and feed on the tree leaves. They usually sleep about 20 hours a day.
The word “koala” means “no drink” because they don’t drink water very often. They get all the water they need
from the yummy leaves they eat.
A koala mom usually has one baby at a time. When the baby is born (出生), it is only 2 cm long. It has no
hair, no ears, and can’t see anything. It lives in its mom’s pouch (育儿袋), and stays there for about 6 months.That’s when it starts to see and grows ears and hair. After 8 to 9 months, it’s too big to get into the pouch, so it
spends all its time on its mother’s back. At about 12 months, it leaves its mom to build its home. Usually, a koala
can live for 16 years.
Now koalas are in great danger. Their numbers are dropping every year. A group called Bangalow Koalas

Do you eat acorns (橡子) ? Speaking of them, most people will think of a lovely animal, squirrel. In the
Republic of Korea, there are few acorns on the ground, and as a result, few squirrels.

Do you like pandas? They were endangered in the past. During the past years, China has been trying hard to
