【语法提要】
1.strict
strict作形容词，意为“严厉的，严格的”；be strict with sb.意为“对某人要求严格”，be
strict in sth.表示“对某事要求严格”。如：
Our English teacher is very strict with us,and she is also very strict in her work.
我们的英语老师对我们要求很严格，而且她对自己的工作也要求很严格。
2.fail
失败：名词failure，动词 fail
成功：名词 success,动词 succeed，
形容词 successful,副词 successfully。如:
Failure is the mother of success.失败是成功之母。
He is a successful businessman.他是一个成功的商人。
She got there successfully on a rainy day.她在一个雨天成功到了那儿。
